Thanks Holiday for including me. Apparently there's some sentiment in our group to keep me at bay! (Nananana-booboo True!) Ahh the life...Vegas swimming pool, lounge chair, speedo swimsuit. Whoa, j/k! At 44 I don't think you want that sight to ruin your party. And True, how do you know Chicago is all those negative things unless you've been there and experienced it first hand? You gotta be more open!!!!

2, You bake for birthdays? Wow! I'll take an extra cheese lasagna. You can send it to my P.O. Box. Just make sure you bake it in the size of a shoebox. If that's too much trouble I can wait until our group party in Vegas, Chicago, or L.A.

Hey 2, I wanna know where my birthday cake was on my birthday? Hmmmm??? J/K I don't need any extra junk food to go on my not so petite frame. Hoenstly, I know you all said you lost weight through all of this...and I started to..but once I got home to my mom's house...NOTHING...plus, I am an emotional eater...dang!
Rocked, I DO know those things first hand...but I'm not sharing them with you. And I don't recall you saying you have taken any trips to Chicago lately...so how do you know that is NOT those things??? Hmmmm????? As for the group party, I don't care where it is and who comes...but I am sure it would be hard to convince your wife that you could go see 4 woman friends..and our hubbies might think it was odd that we were hanging out with one guy. I am just looking out for you as always!
Have a great day!

Birthday cakes???? Well, here's notice. My birthday isn't until Sept, so you'll have plenty of time to create my favorite combination: white cake, white thick buttercream/shortening kind of frosting. Oh and coconut if possible. Have a wonderful day, holiday

Holiday, Sounds yummy, but I won't be able to have any cuz guys aren't allowed to celebrate with girls. Our spouses would freak over 4 to 1 odds, and our marriages unravel at the seams should we be caught fraternizing. Please just send a piece to my P.O. Box along with 2's lasagna. I'll be okay all alone...talking to myself...the sound of silence...sniff.

Not much to say...I don't know why some days are good and others are bad. I wish I did...then I would have all good days...I guess all of us would.

When do Mothers ever feel appreciated? HA HA. We are going on our traditional picnic. I hope the day is good..I know that day must be tough for you to plan. I have told my H when he is being a good father, husband...I often get angry at him...b/c I think why couldn't you be like this sooner...or at least think of all of us before you went down the dark path. Anyway, hope all is well.

No, I haven't found it tough to plan days like that for my W as I want to invest in her and our relationship as part of our healing and recovery. As I do so she ends up investing back in me and "viola!" we both end up getting what we want. (Funny how that works).
Is that Midwest "Traditional"? (Beef, ants, and high humidity?)

well, Rocked, once again, you just prove that you are the better person here..b/c I still find it hard to plan those things for him. He does not deserve any consideration for being a good dad/husband...when he threw us all to the wind for a month of "fun". I am sorry, and I know this goes against all the MB things..but I think our WS should do most of the investing..after all they did cheat on US. Oh well..that is just me. See, in my mind..if my H isn't willing to accept all the **it I give him, and deal with all of my bad moods..then he can leave. He made me like this..now he needs to be the bigger person! Anyway..there is my vent.... as for "traditional" I mean..we do it every year. remember for six years we lived in Utah..so I didn't have any midwest bugs and high humidity. Beef...well...I guess so. Actually...I would love to drive to the restaurant that we went to my first mother's day...I love it. But it is 2 hours away...oh well.

Then make him drive you 2 darn hours away if it means you having a good time! On second thought...make him stay at home with the kids and YOU drive two hours away to enjoy yourself.
I understand your frustration. And I am sorry if I made it appear as if I have it all together. I don't!!! PFM. I am just doing what I have decided to do to try to keep this M together.
I, and the others in this group, care for you. Let us know how we can support you. I continue to pray for you too.

Rocked...
Thanks for the prayers.
I do not think that we need to go 2 hours away..and I am not sure if I would want to leave him. I had a chance of going up to sing at my old HS a couple of weekends from now...but I am not ready to go and leave him here by himself yet.
Anyway..I am glad that you are being such a good H. Your wife should feel lucky to have you.

My W "IS" lucky to have me. And your H "IS" lucky to have YOU! And if my W screws up again I'm heading to Chicago for a long getaway to visit with some old friends. One of them owns a drive through car wash. He's real crazy!

Hi Guys! True, I hear you about investing in the marriage. I too think Rocked is awesome for his willing heart. I have been nice and pleasant with my husband, but have not found it in my heart to do anything "special" for him. With his birthday right around the corner, I'm glad he's planning his own special day. I feel like my life has returned to normal, and that includes a basic love for him. But I do not feel a passionate love for him. Most everything I do is out of obligation and I hope that the feelings will follow.
Of course it was the passion that brought him to cheat on me...feeling like it had died. It is dead on my part for sure now.
I still struggle feeling like I'm in this till I find someone better. I still struggle going through the motions so that my life now can go forward and feel normal, but wanting to meet someone else. I know deep down though that I don't want to destroy my family the way he did. Still struggle with how to deal with these thoughts and feelings.
Rocked, if your wife did this again you'd go to Chicago? If my husband did this again I'd go straight to divorce court. You guys could watch me on TV. I mean this from the bottom of my heart as GOD is my witness. He does this again, I'm out faster than you can say divorce. He gets ONE chance to blow it. He has all the help he needs right now, counseling, forgiveness from me, support from accountability partners. He blows it again after knowing all the pain it caused me and I won't shed a tear. My butt will be in divorce court with a new man on my arm a week later! Mark my words!

It'd take you a whole week to get a new man on your arm?
