My husband and I have been married 14 months...second marriage for us both. He is 53 and used to being alone, I am 42 and used to doing things my own way too.
We recently bought a house that needed lots of work. He moved to the new house and left me here at the old house with my teenagers (whom he adores).
I've been going back and forth trying to help him daily, he complains about the money spent for gas. I spend one whole night per week with him, otherwise I come home to my kids late in the evening.
Last Sunday morning, he said: "I've made a decision, you are the boss."....well, I don't accept that...we are both Christians and this isn't the way God has a marriage relationship outlined in the Bible.
Tonight, we had a big fight (well, I got angry, he is passive) and he said: "Leave before I say something I can't take back and hurt you really bad."
and he keeps saying that I've argued with him about the house the whole time (I haven't) and that I'm going to do what I want to do regardles so he doesn't care what I do.
What it boils down to is this: I've hurt/disappointed/made him mad/irritated him so badly it is causing him great emotional stress....but he won't tell me what I've done wrong!
He is a heart patient and is working waaay too hard trying to get our house fixed up so we can all move in...he refuses to let the kids move until it is finished but also refuses to let me move up there without the kids. He's not taking his meds as he should, he's not eating healthy, he's stressed out to the max and I'm sure I'm not helping matters.
Can somebody offer some advice? Please?
