Is there some kind of pressure that all of a sudden an answer needs to be given?

Of course, the situation is not optimal, but if you're not looking to rebuild the relationship, and only to maintain the status quo until you can escape the relationship, then unless you have some kind of serious pressure to answer the question, I'd avoid it.

But if pressed, I see no reason not to be honest.

Is there some reason you don't want to try to create a workable relationship? It can be done, people can change, it's not easy, but it's possible...

Well, it appears your mind is made up, so there's not much I can say.

I think you sell the institution of marriage pretty short, but ultimately,
it's your call. Many of the things you talk about are just choices. Painful
ones to be sure, but choices nonetheless.
