You know who you are (Mel, Pep, Sus, Weaver, Ark, Believer)! You all are responsible for putting a smile on this face. It's all your fault <img src="/ubbt/images/graemlins/eek.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbt/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbt/images/graemlins/pfft.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbt/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

Thank you for the profound silliness the last two days. <img src="/ubbt/images/graemlins/tongue.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbt/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbt/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbt/images/graemlins/cool.gif" alt="" /> **edited to add that I have been very down and depressed the last few days and very grateful for a reason to smile**

I love the no limits on emoticons <img src="/ubbt/images/graemlins/shocked.gif" alt="" />

FF,

It won't be long until you are in a place of silly happiness again. You are going to get through this just fine. I know it.

You have such a goodness and strength about you... you are a survivor.

With what you have been through, I know you won't stay in the pain very long.

It's like you step out of your own sitch enough to care about others situations, and this tells me that you are almost back to a place of peace, even if the depression is getting the best of you at times.

Hang in there FF, you are such a caring, lovely person. And I hope you know how much I appreciate the times you have jumped in with a hug or kind word, even though your pain is so big.

I love who you are FF. <img src="/ubbt/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Ooooh! I'm confused!<img src="/ubbt/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />

WHY would "Miss Texas" (I assume that you mean "Miss Texas Sweet 'Tater Queen"? <img src="/ubbt/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" /> ) or any proud Southerner want to be a Yankee? <img src="/ubbt/images/graemlins/shocked.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbt/images/graemlins/eek.gif" alt="" />

I mean...why would anyone in her right mind want to talk "funny"? <img src="/ubbt/images/graemlins/pfft.gif" alt="" />

LOL!

My sentiments exactly! Have you ever heard the way Texans say Coors? It's like this, "kers", it took me about three nights of bartending in that strange area to even understand that they were trying to order a beer!

And then when they started pouring tomatoe juice into it, I thought I had surely gotten off at the wrong bus stop and ended up in the twightlight zone. <img src="/ubbt/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbt/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

So, what's so funny about Texans saying "kers"? That's normal, just as there's nothing funny about my DH saying "Bud Lait". Or me saying "Sweet 'Tater Queen".<img src="/ubbt/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbt/images/graemlins/pfft.gif" alt="" />

I don't care for beer, so I have no idea about why anyone is pouring tomato juice into it. That must be a Texas thang, as I don't know anyone around here who does it. <img src="/ubbt/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif" alt="" />

As for me, I crack up when I hear Yankees say "pee-can" instead of "peh-cahn" (you know...the nuts that fall off a peh-cahn tree), because I always want to say, "I don't have a pee can, but my grandma used to keep a slop jar under the bed."<img src="/ubbt/images/graemlins/pfft.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbt/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />

LOL!! I am a life long Texan- (6 GENERATIONS) and I have nevah evah heard of anyone doing anything so GAUCHE as to pour tomato juice into a beer. You must have been dealing with some immigrants to Texas from some other state. Everyone knows tomatoes are a fruit, and you don't mix fruits with beer!

In the midst of all the pain, laughter is the best medicine. I have something I want to copy and post, but I don't have it here at work.

So, later gator, after I get home. <img src="/ubbt/images/graemlins/pfft.gif" alt="" />

Something a friend said to me recently:

Remember how in the 80's pop psychology was big and also we were wearing blouses with huge shoulder pads? Well in the 90's someone said throw away the self help books, put your shoulder pads in your bra and go out and have a good time!

You only live once. As Pep told me "Life is a feast! Enjoy!"

Ark, your post to Tempest is what started me laughing, then Weaver, Susan and Pep just continued it. What a great place to have laughter and pain all on the same page.

Yeah okay, so maybe it was Chickasha Oklahoma. Close enough! <img src="/ubbt/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

Susan,

I recently bought a blouse which had shoulder pads, and I just felt retarded, so I had to cut them out.

I can't believe we used to dress like that. LOL

I just love the fashions of the 70's though. I am stuck in that era I think. Either the 70's or asian inspired, that's what I love.

If anyone out there in lala land cares. <img src="/ubbt/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />

FF ..... you know we really love you .... and anytime you need a fool .... feel free to call on me, or any of my foolish sistas ...

I am at your service !

"Laughter through tears is my favorite emotion" .... (from the movie Steel Magnolias ... spoken by Dolly Parton's character at a funeral for her friend's daughter)... and that is just soooo true for me, and for Susan as well. Even during our SPQ weekend, I got to missing my Mom so much, and I started talking about this, and all 5 of us got to bawling and then laughing, then bawling again ... what a sweet release.

Note to JL, 2long, bOb, and all other self respecting males:

DO NOT GET SUCKED IN TO THIS SQUALLER!

FEMALE EMOTIONS ARE INVOLVED!!!

Just like female plumbing, we are at a HUGE disadvantage in trying to identify with this stuff. Best to just stay out and let them have their "fun." <img src="/ubbt/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif" alt="" />
