I have spent weeks and weeks of my life in hospitals due to my DS. I love nurses! My DD was delivered by a nurse on Christmas night 1992 <img src="/ubbt/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />
The labor/delivery nurse when I was giving birth to my YDS who weighed 9 lbs 7 oz and with no drugs was the best! I think she would have gotten on that table and delivered that boy herself if she could have!

Blessing to all of you in the healthcare industry. You serve well.

LM, you make me chuckle. I'm glad you redeemed yourself I was going to suggest a nice warm soap sud enema with a nice cold dose of Mag Citrate.

No wonder there are so many compassionate, wise and understand people here!! MB must be a nurse magnet!

I hope everyone had a Happy Mother's Day and a good nurse week,
I had to work the weekend. But thank God I have a profession I can rely on....there is ALWAYS work to do.

I hope all of the nurses here have a great week - and year. Please know that you ARE appreciated - at least by your patients.

And here's a tip for everyone else - if you are looking for a good surgeon/specialist/etc., ask a nurse.

Thanks Susan....

It's so nice to come home after one of those "days that never end", to find someone DOES appreciate what you do!

I've been in nursing since 1972.....my last 10 years in the hospital (8 years ago now) ended when I injured my back at work.

1 year off work, back surgery, and now I work in a clinic. Different for sure from working in the ER at night!

But I have a wonderful Dr. for a boss (I'm almost old enough to be his mother - scary!). And I love having weekends and holidays off!

Thanks to all you nurses......you're my favorite kind of people!

K
