Hi everyone,

I was at work yesterday and around 11:00 I began to feel extremely dizzy and disoriented. That went on for about an hour until I went in to the preschool room to ask my boss if that was normal. The other girl told me I looked awful and thought she was going to have to catch me because I looked as if I was going to pass out. So they had me call my doctor (I always feel like a burden calling) and he had me come in. My BP was up a little but he said the heartbeat of the baby sounded great. Then he told me that he looked at my ultrasound from last week and Cayden is a LARGE baby. He said last week he was weighing in around 8.5 pounds (although he says sometimes it is wrong) but because I'm slightly high risk, he was going to consider those numbers. He told me he was in the 99% for size and his femur was measuring the size of a full term baby last week. Sooooooooooo.......he said next week during my ultrasound, that if he continued to measure in the 90% or above, he was going to schedule me for a C-section. *scared* Then he went on to tell me he had some bad news. I was like, OH GREAT, what now? He told me I had to go on full bedrest for the remainder of my pregnancy. *WHAT?* One, I HATE laying around the house, two, we can't afford for me to lose pay before my leave. *sigh* I know it is best for the baby though. So we will see when Cayden will be here. Its quite a shock to me because I wasn't expecting him a few weeks early or early at all.

Well, I'm sorry that you have to be on bedrest. Is it because of your blood pressure? But it is exciting that your baby will be here soon!

I keep telling H he needs to finish getting the room ready. He'll say I have 3 more months. I told him, "Yes, but you still need to put all the furniture together, and I still need time to organize all her clothes." He says he will work on it this weekend. He's the biggest procrastinator!

Hi Hurts,

When I was pregnant w/#3 I was on bedrest a total of 5 weeks due to placenta previa. Not easy with a 5 and 2 1/2 year old running around. Take this time to rest!! I hope you can avoid a C-section, but make sure you do the bedrest thing. I had to have a C-section 4 weeks early, it's harder to recover from, but an easier delivery obviously. Even with a positive outcome, pregnancy and childbirth never seems to go as planned, probably preparing you for childrearing ;-). Take care of yourself and don't worry, it will all work out.
