I am have serious marriage difficulties relating to imimacy issues. I believe my wife was emotionally abused by her parents during her growing up years. She appears to have a lot of emotional baggage and is extremely uncomfortable with emotional closeness. She cannot express her most intimate feelings and has trouble listening to me express my feelings.
I do not know how to approach these difficulties. I have encouraged her to see a christian psychologist but so far she has been in denial and has not opened up honestly.
Doe anyone know of a good forum which deals with these emotional abuse issues specifically. I have been seaching around the Web but so far have not found a good forum with high traffic counts. Any suggestions would be much appreciated. Thanks
