Today is my 14 year wedding anniversary! Yay! We made it through "lucky" 13 ~ phew.

I have to say, without MB principles, and these discussion boards, I would NOT have made it through the early days.

From those early days, I would like to specially thank Confused& Scared, whom I haven't seen around in forever, for her inspiring M recovery story that she was so generous to share with me. Her H's A was with her FBF as well, and it was so hopeful to me to hear that recovery ~ both M and personal ~ is possible after such a "double-whammy." Her posts were like a soothing salve on my burning raw wounds.

I hope everyone can find and identify that special someone here at MB, who can help make the whole process a little less painful.

Thank you everyone for everything!

Spidey

Happy Anniversary, Spidey! This would be my 14th anniversary this coming Sept. if we weren't in the D process. Congratulations on your hard earned M.

Thank you ff. I have to say, that the most rewarding part of this journey for me, has been my very own personal recovery, personal growth.

I can see you working so hard for that, and you will not regret the time and effort you have put into yourself and understanding your feelings and what is going on in your life.

SS, thank you. You always give the best advice, and I always read your posts. I am grateful you posted on my little thread here!

Spidy, you are a very kind person. I have always admired the way you say things. I think Pep said it best though, when she said (a while back) that you could probably take over for her.

Is it summer in the potato state yet? I told my friend in Shelley that I would visit him this summer, if he would tell me which day that would be.

BTW,
It never bothered me that you signed off using SS.

Just so you know.

Well, now, see, depends on what part of the state you are in! I have many relatives that live in the Idaho Falls area, and some that have spilled over into the Shelley area. That area over there is WINDY. You canNOT have a good hair day over there, unless you are Mel and have schallacked your hair into a formidible helmet. And expect your car door to be blow either 1)shut on your leg as you are trying to get out, or 2)blown hard into the open position, so hard you wonder if the door will close again, accompanied by alarming popping/creeking/bending noises.

Here on the OTHER side of the state, we have SUPREME weather. Heck, we have too MUCH summer in our 8th year of draught!

Thank you. Actually, my friend CV called me Spidey all the time, and I really liked it. I joined Idiotville I for about 3 days, and they called me their superhero (wow, they ARE idiots! JK). It just kinda stuck.

I am proud to be a member of the SS group, though. There is me, you, and SureSurvivor. Any others? We are a great trio!

Spidey, er, SS ~ and proud of it!

Spidey -

Happy Anniversary. I always thought you and your husband would make it - even after the famous sushi lunch. From your first days posting here on JFO you reached out to help others, even when you were in terrible pain.

We miss you in Idiotville - a citizen had snakes in her barn and called for the men to help her. Of course, they were all too scared. We needed the exterminator. But as we say, the only way out of Idiotville is recovery, and I'm happy you made it.

I was the idiot with snakes. And the men WERE too scared!!!

Congratulations Spider!! I read your posts whenever I see them. And you are famous around here.

Hope you aren't leaving anytime soon. Thanks for being around, even if the reasons were bad to start out.

Hey Spidey! I'm glad I checked in here on GQll before bed tonight. A very happy anniversary to you! See, even you know you had a double whammy and you made it through it. I'm hoping I can make it through mine. By the way I mentioned what you said in MC today, about my sitch being like a ball of yarn. That analogy was very insightfull and so true.

Anyhow girl, you will be forever famous for that sushi lunch, and if you both can get through that hellish time, I know you both will keep on the recovery road. I'm toasting to you both, but especially to you fellow SM. I thought I was the one who started the Spidey name, but until now wasn't sure. Love Ya Woman! CV

It does for me.

Pepperband, sir yes sir ~ SIR!!! Rightaway and 10-4, and all of that. And Thank You.

believer, you always DID think my H and I would make it. I wonder if you have a premonition? Because to me, my sitch seemed totally hopeless ~ but you always would say, "I don't know, SS, I see a lot of hope in your sitch." Always lifted my heavy heart. And I still cannot tell you what a sense of belonging and warmth you brought to me when you called me out that first night I went out with my girlfriend ~ at a time that my self esteem and self worth were in the crapper, you cared about where I was! For that and hundereds of other reasons, Thank You.

tqt, as always, glad to see you, and Thank You. I'll chat with you on our "other" thread ~ the one we are going to publish into a book and make mounds of money . . . or at least very frightening names for ourselves!

jlseagull, I am SOOO sorry those idiots were too yellow-bellied to get that snake for you! I had to leave Idiotville, because I simply didn't have enough time in the day to keep up with the drama! I would post, go pee and come back to 3 more pages! Sheesh! I would have killed that snake for ya, and I woulda cooked it up and we (only us brave GIRLS) woulda eaten it. Vittles. Thank You for your well-wishes.

SureSurvivor, I am so happy for you that the exercise avenue worked out for you. I am in a 27-week training right now to run a marathon in November. Don't know if I'll actually run the full marathon, but I am finding it THRILLING to train for something in particular. I have never done that before. Please keep posting, always keep us updated, and I wish you and your H all the best. And I think we are the greatest SS-trio EVER! Thank You.

CV, yep, you gave me the name. Thank You for all your encouragement, support, listening ear, reading eyes ~ everything. I know some of my buds hang out almost exclusively on Recovery, but I did't want to post both places, and I mostly hang out in GQII now. I am soooo grateful you checked in last night. I darn near forgot to post this yesterday! I was reminded a short time ago when Pep posted her Anni, but then almost forgot my own! Oh well. I remembered, just in time. And all the wonderful people showed up! Keep that vino chilled for us!

HINY, that sushi lunch seems like another LIFE to me. It is so funny, because with the growth I have had personally, I look back at the way I handled things then, and I just shake my head. I know my H thinks the same thing about himself, too! It seems like forever since you cooked that ham and hung your undies in the bathroom, too!
