The CS? Because that seems to be the only real issue here.
OR are you afriad that a relationship will re-kindle? I don't think so.
So if the financial aspect is all you are afraid of....ok but the kid doesn't have anything to do w/ that.
AND I Do believe that the state FORCED her to sue H for CS. That is the way it works. The state does NOT give out benefits for FREE. SOMEONE has to pay for them.
Ok, if SHE asked for that (NC)...why all this hullabaloo of trying to JUSTIFY the NC from your POV?
Why didn't you say that in the beginning? I THINK you have some doubts about this decision or else you would not be looking for support of it & justification of it. kwim?
If you would like to know what you can do to deal w/ the CS aspect better, we can also give you advice on that since most of us have had to deal w/ that as well. THere are specefic steps you can take to get some acknowledgement & credit for the children you have now.

for 8 year old boy from hubby's past that he didn't know existed....
Girl didn't discover it wasn't current BF's child until 2001...
then she had to go down the line with DNA testing and....
