I was driving to martial arts class and, thinking about my dismal plight, I spaced out an rear-ended a truck in front of me It looks like about $1500 to my truck and who knows with the other two vehicles. I am only on the hook for my deductible ($500) and a rental car.

I just cancelled my "rental Car insurance" two months ago! $H!T!!!!

F!@K! Like I need this aggravation now, but my insurance agent seemed to be really on the ball when I called.

Another log on the fire!

Thanks Nikko,

I just don't need this mindless aggravation right now...it was MY fault for not "setting" my troubles aside while driving...

Luckily no one was injured...I apologized profusely to my two "victims" and owned up to the police when they got there.

The officer said I'll lilkely wind up in Traffic School ($74) and, when I present the "graduation" certificate to the court, the ticket will be expunged.

I HAVE to play the cards I am dealt...whether I like them or not.

Physically, I am fine, but I am still in the throes of "kicking my own @$$" for being that inattentive...

I'll be done with the "beating" in a day or so...dumb things are what OTHER people do..,.not ME!!

On another note, WW called me, I told her of the accident, she brought me dinner and we had a nice non-R chat. She seemed genuinely concerned and was glad that I was OK.

Not reading a lot into that yet...friends can also feel the same things.

I was rear-ended a few years ago and it hurt way worse the second day - I'm glad that your neck is okay.

I haven't followed your story, so I can't comment on the actions of your WW. I just hope that everything works out for you!

The @$$pain continues...coming home froma shooting competition, I got a $151 speeding ticket last night!

The last time I did this competition, the D-Day e-mail was waiting for me at home!

I am going to shoot again next week, but if something bad happens for a 3rd time, I am NEVER going back there again!!!!

WRT this latest ticket, I was caught not paying attention AGAIN!!...I need a vacation!

Adding insult to injury, my insurance company called and the guy I hit in my accident on Tuesday went to the Dr. with "neck pain"...I hope he doesn't have a shyster attorney telling him what to do.

Too much bad $h!t happening to me right now...I feel like I am cursed.

I will be OVERLY cautious in ALL undertakings!!!

WH,
So sorry these things happened to you. In October - the month my divorce was final - I hit a car - like you thinking too much and I drove into the side of a full sized pick up - lucikly not too much damage done - around $1,000 to my vehicle. But this full sized pick up that I hit just in front of the drivers door supposedly had $800 worth of Mechanical damage??? I hit it with a buick century? I never did hear what happened. Anyway - sorry about your accident and speeding ticket.
