Let me do a little research. I'll get back with you re: legal aid, etc.

As for your job search - If you need help with resume writing, interview preparation, etc., let me know. That's up my alley. You're on the right track - you've got to get that job!!! Focus your efforts on that right now.

As for Plan B. I guess I just didn't see it from your threads. It looks like you're still trying to reach/reach out to your WW. The key to Plan B is to cut her off ... no contact, no support, nothing. I'm sure this is extremely hard esp. when kids are involved, but you've got to stay strong. Only contact should be re: kids and the support for the kids, nothing more.

Hang in there.

EEMD,

See Aslan's recommendation in the following URL:

http://www.marriagebuilders.com/ubbt/sho...ID=#Post2736700

Note: Aslan's an attorney by trade. Looks like there's at least something you can do to postpone the court date. Give that a shot!

Good luck,

Oh, also, a friend of mine who practices family law in North Carolin mentioned that in North Carolina, there is a thing called "Legal Aid" that provides low-cost legal assistance. She suggested that you look into this in the state that you reside.

Best wishes,

Thanks whispher. I look into that monday. I got a job part time. thanks for all of you're help. I hope I can get legal aid in this state. Because I don't want to go to the commisioner hearing without one. I just found out wife is having a hard time with her bills the courts are getting ready to sue her. As it looks her affair partner is not helping her at all. Its something how I could find things out without talking to her.

This whole thing is getting stessful. Just got a letter from the lawyer saying he was granted to withdraw. Iam being treated as I did something bad. Iam not ws. This is terrible. Whispher I left a post for aslan.

Did you check into legal aid in your state? Unfortunately, your attorney does not have to continue to represent you if you cannot pay him. While it's cold and awful, that is business. However, he shouldn't treat you with any less dignity than the utmost professional courtesy offered to a client. (period) There is no excuse for indignation. But, at this point, you can't worry about that right now. You've got to focus on the future and how to resolve your situation. You've got to find another attorney, and if the money isn't there, see if there is legal aid. Unfortunately, without either, your options may be limited. Be sure to look into this ASAP.

Whisper I talk to legal aid today and I have to send them proof that I just lost my old job. Also I seen the ws with her affair partner today as I was working so I guess she still in the fog she sees me and tries to get the info off of the company car I was driveing for she could tell the courts. It was hard to see her with that jerk. Iam starting to not like her anymore. And I just kept cool but I wanted to go upside his head.

"Iam starting to not like her anymore."

>There is a point where one must say enough's enough. Unfortunately, you and only you can make that decision. I'm certain that w/ your W still deep in her fog and having to drag things out for this long will only diminish your love for your W every day. I'm so sorry you have to deal with this. Do remember this - regardless what you do, we're all here to support you and help you through it. You DON'T have to even justify your action, as they've already been justified.

Hang in there - do what's right for YOU !

Thanks whisper you always uplift me. I though the fog would go away or if it will ever go away. A friend of mines told me about getting into real estate investing iam going to go for it. I have to make things better for me. I don't like the fact that I don't see my kids much and that really hurts me. Ws has some bum around them. I staying strong but at times it get tuff. Ws thinks everything wonderful now that iam not there. Thanks again.

BTW - when you visit w/ legal aid, be sure to tell them the entire situation - esp. the part re: your WS is allowing the OM to be around your kids. It's my understanding that this is a big no-no in the courts. See what they can do to prevent this situation.

I'm glad to hear that you're rebuilding your own life (whether it's w/ real estate investment or some other means). This is very important for you physically and emotionally, regardless what your WW decide. It'll prepare you for whatever happens in life.

Be strong.

I told them the first time I was in court that she had this guy around my kids and of course she lied and it is also court orderd that he not be around the kids. My old lawyer tells me I need proof. I will let legal aid know of this.

Are you legally separated yet? Any paperwork at all filed?
If not, any investments could be considered joint property.

Chris has a good point, EEMD. You may want to look into a formal separation agreement or else your WW may get 1/2 or more of your assets if it came down to it. You've got to protect yourself right now.
