I was discussing some stuff with anyname on Smur's thread on the recovery board when she gave me a parable from her own life experience. It really struck me as meaningful.

Quote
I bought a kitten from a pet shop once. What a gorgeous little guy he was. Took him for his compulsary check up the next day and they said he had a heart murmer and I could exchange him for another one under the rules of purchase. Geez! I didn't want another one. I wanted this one. So I kept him. Bob he's the most magnificant animal you've ever seen now. He's like a lion - and nearly as big as one. He grew out of his heart murmer too. Is there a message in that for us?

Something/somebody we love can have a debilitating heart problem - physical OR emotional - yet with love , investment and consistent care from us, they can grow past their problem to become exceptional, strong creatures with whole hearts.

Hope it speaks to someone else out there too.

Thanks an. <img src="/ubbt/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

I liked the one about Anyname putting all her eggs in one basket (her WH) whilst he put all his eggs in another basket (OW) [not as eloquently put but I don't have time to find it now].

Lucky you having a trip to Italy. One of the highlights of my life was a trip to Florence.Great place. TT
