Yes, I know this true =)
The stroke I had 2 years ago has left me with a teeny tiny visual defect in the center of my vision. What this means that with smaller fonts, I can not see every letter in a word. Most of the time, my brain fills in for me and sees the word as it is.
But there are sometimes when I see the word as it was meant to be instead of what is actually there.
Makes for interesting typos! Needless to say, at my job, where attention to that level of detail is critical, I have a 24" monitor - which blows the words up physically big enough that my brain doesn't mistakenly compensate!

Ah yes, 2long posts make me want to fwap him around with a magazine sometimes.
But i fwap people around with magazines all the time.
I have dyslexia, so I have to be very careful with my spelling and number etc. But with some effort I can manage.
Someone throw me a map already!

It's funny, but I always edit my W's emails 2 me before I post samples here, because she's VERY dyslexic. Spell-checkers don't work with her at all.
But she "writes" very well. Very well! I helped type her MS Thesis (among a lot of other things that she forgets), and I had a very hard time keeping up with her dictation. But we made such a team. Sadly, I don't think we'll ever do that again.
Also funny, I'm NOT dyslexic. Not much, any way. So, I find myself trying 2 pronounce all them giberish words ol' Pepper posted above!

You know what I have found really interesting? The top students on my art program are all incredibly dyslexic. Two of us are so terrible with writting they had to have all of their tests answered orally.
Also all of us were diagnosed with having poor to very poor spacial perception. Weeee!
I used to have an awful dyslexia when I was younger, didn't learn to read till I was nearly 8, but I could fake it enough so nobody noticed I actually couldn't read until I was 7. Somehow I managed to get past it and at one point I was suppossed to become a novelist, but I opted for the arts. Still, all the papers I have ever written always get an A.
On the other hand my husband, who learnt to read at age 3 and is the opposite of a dyslexic HATES writting... hates it so much he'd rather chomp at his arm for 3 days straight.
Ah the wonders of the human brain.

Reminds me of a job I have in mind for my retirement: I want to bait hooks on a fishing pier. I'd have to start out as an apprentice baiter, then work my way up to master baiter.
