I haven't been on for a few days, well after all the games we go today and file the paperwork. We are trying to remain friends thru all of this and I have even been helping her padk her things and am going to start paking my stuff soon after. I won't be able to stay in this house without two incomes, it just costs too much. After everthing is final, I will put the house up for sell and more than likely move back home to Ohio. So if any one needs a house a Georgia let me know. I have been doing ok emotionally except when she was here last night and I was looking at some pictures of us on our wedding day and wonder what happened. I told her that I wish that this was a bad dream or in a coma. I also said that I wake up nightly and look thru the house to see if she is here. She started to cry and we hugged and held each other for a minute. She wants to do this, but I think that she is feeling some of the loss now.

Sorry to hear that this is the course this has taken. I too will be in the same spot soon with a house for sell in georgia. This is the most painful thing that I have ever had to go through. I'm sure the same for you. I will be praying for you and you do the same for me. Pray that we can become stronger through all this. I know God has a plan for all our lives and we will be ok. Take care and keep us updated.

Be well my friend...this episode of yours will be less impactful with the passing of time...just hang in there.

I am sure that I will have tough days ahead. The sad part is our 9th anniversary is on the 21st, and we had a big vacation scheduled for the next week in TN. She is still planning on going on the trip and meet her family there. She told me that I could have 2 of the 4 days, so I may do that, I don't know though, her family has been supportive of both of us, but don't like the fact that we are going thru this. I have been in contact with them since the beginning of all of this just to let them know both sides of the story. And after only God knows the future and we will learn it as the days go by.

I'm just starting the process. We put the house up for sale a while back after my WW got mad that I talked to her friend about why she (her friend) was calling the OM.
Like you this is like a horrible dream. I had no choice in the matter, and my WW seems to feel the loss, but she doesn't seem to have any desire to help fix the mess she created.
I'm in Columbus, so if you need a friend and you're close by, don't hesitate to get hold me.

Well right now I'm in Georgia and will hopefully be headed toward Portsmouth, my hometown, Georgia has been a nightmare since we moved here in 1998. I have family and friends still in P-town. My STBXW's family is there and her brother is wanting to start a business with me Now that is a weird scenario, I would still be linked to her thru her family that have become more of a family to me than my own

I used to be a consultant for that area, I'd go down to Portsmouth 5 or 6 times a year, sometimes more.
I hope things work out for you. I don't know if I could work with my wife's family. I think the best for me, if we go through with the divorce, is to make a clean break.

Well her family is very loving and Christian oriented. They don't see me as an outsider but as a family member of their own. After all, they were friends before they became family. The whole thing at the attorney's office lasted all of about 20 mins. I was in shock that it was over that quick. So now it's put the house up for sale and try to get myself back home. Pending any other thing that may come up, you never know what the good Lord has in store for us. And if you believe in horoscopes, mine has been pretty much dead on lately. So I'm trying to deal with that, I know that most of the time, those things are totally wrong, but this has been weird. And so to the future I look and try not to dwell within the past as the past couple of days have been really good days following a day of darkness.

I'm glad the last few days have been better. My WW's family was wierd about this whole thing. I noticed that they became quiet around me. Later I found out that my wife was complaining about how I wouldn't stop asking her questions and that I showed up at her work a couple times. (her affair was or is with a co-worker).
So, after 22 years, I can barely talk to them. Her dad and I were best friends at one time. But since he went to the lawyer's with her, it's been strained. I can only imagine what was said.
I wish you the best.

Although my wife and I haven't filed yet - I am dreading the day when we do. As of now, she said she'd think about doing a legal separation instead, but its looking bleaker by the day. I pray she realizes that I'm a changed man before she leaves. Either way, I just want her to be happy - even if its without me.
Over the last few months there has been a ton of crying, and every time I think about the amazing times like our wedding and the cuddling and baby talk it makes me miss her even more.
I hope its not always this hard.
