My wife of 23 years has said she no longer loves me and wonders if she ever did. She took a job in another city 18 months ago and only comes home on weekends. She says if she wanted a divorce she would have done it already. Im so confused she has not left but says she no longer loves me. She was interested in someone else, planned a trip. The trip was cancelled when confonted, but with her not living at home during the week anything can happen any time.I still feel she was "mentally unfaithful". I know this is not much information but if we are willing to work at it can it be done with the weeklong separation? Have 2 kids aged 15, 17. The person with the "mental affair" is her boss who is divorced and living in the same city. She will not go to councelling. I really dont have much hope. Shoud I end it?

Hey, Dawal!
Welcome to General Questions! You find that there's much more traffic here.
There is much you can do to improve your marriage, even with the weekday seperation.
Do you want to end it? I suspect not, otherwise you wouldn't be here.
I am very glad you are here, but I'll leave it for experienced members than me to advise you. I'll just say that you should read the articles on the site, and learn all you can about building up your marriage.
Take care,
Alphin.

Hmmm. I think she doesn't want a divorce because right now she can continue her affair, and has you there watching the homefront.
It is essential that she quit working for this man. Otherwise, your marriage is in danger.

dawal, is there any chance you can move in with her? I have to say that this is not hopeful with you living apart. She is already detached from you and may have moved on emotionally.
