My fiance (36 yrs old) was asked by her 18 yr old male nephew to go on a Disney cruise on or about close to our 1 yr anniversery month. That she states he has the money. He seems like a very nice kid (young man) I have been engaged for over a year and she has treated me very well always. I don't feel to good about this..Am I just being insecure??? We our to be married in 2 weeks..need less to say this has made her think I do not trust her in which I do. I just feel hurt by her not considering my feelings on this? I would never think of planning or going on a vacation without her! Am I over re-acting? Any thougts advice

It seems a bit odd. This is one of those situations where if you subscribed to MB principles in all aspects of your relationship, you'd whip out the POJA and see what could be done.

Has she ever given you any other reason to worry? Has the courtship been filled with suspicion and mistrust?

I do think you need to tell her how you feel, that it does concern you. HOw she responds will be a great indicator of the issues the two of you will have to address and how they'll be responded to down the road.

A really great response might be, "You know, that was pretty thoughtless of me, and I can see this bothers you, so, hey, trip's off". A not so great respone would be "oh, don't worry, goign anyway", and A really crappy response would be "I dont' care that you think I'm going anyway"...

It will be a nice barometer...
