Very strange story. I'm glad they found the kid alive, but how in the heck did he survive "in good conditon" after *four days* with supposedly no food and no water? According to earlier reports, he was very shy and kind of backward -- not a proficient Scout and prone to getting lost and turned around.

I hear that another Scout disappered in that area about a year ago. He was never found. I am just wondering out loud if someone isn't abducting kids from this camp and turning them loose when finished with them. One survived and the other didn't.

A remote Scout camp could draw predators the way an isolated sheep pen could draw wolves. I don't think it's beyond the realm of possibility, given this boy's reported survival skills (or lack thereof.) It'll be interesting to see if there is more to this story.

Mulan,

I'm with you. When I first heard of his being found, I was elated. Then as I read on, red flags were popping up left and right. I'm thinking.....what's wrong with this picture?

It's great that he was found. Hopefully it will be nothing more than a good survival story.

I followed last years dissapearance closely as SLC is our local news stations, even though we are many miles from there. I also have thought/felt like last years incident was more that just a lost boy. It just didn't make sense from looking at the pix and hearing how hard they searched that they found absolutely nothing. Not even a hint of anything. They found a sock once, but it wasn't his. I don't remember them mentioning anything that gave them any idea which way he had gone.

It is so sad. I remember how much rain and snow we started getting up in the mountains shortly after he went missing and felt such sadness for his family.

I haven't been watching news at all for some time as we are so busy, so I didn't even know about this one missing. I am so glad to hear he is ok.
