my wife had an affair with her OB-GYN. As a specialist in this area of medicine, he should have or "knew" what he was doing as she did not go searching for an affair. Any medically liability here or breach of hypocratic oath?

i'm no expert, but it sounds to me like you were friends, so that it wasn't that she was "just" her doctor. going to the gyn is no turn on, it must've been during your dinners and social time that the relationship started--the fact that he is her gyn was extra. although it still sounds yucky to me. (no offense intended for you gyns out there).

Was she still seeing this guy AS her GYN at the time of the affair? If so, that's TOTALLY unethical.<P>As far as how it makes me feel as a woman? It disguists me and would be a HUGE violation - like a rape.<P>I'm sorry you are having to go through this pain. No matter WHO he is, it's terrible. What this so-called physician did is unethical. The chances are that he may have had or is having sex with other patients. He needs to be reported to the police as well as to his medical association. If the charges are proven to be true he can loose his license to practice medicine.<p>[This message has been edited by max (edited September 26, 1999).]
