background: M 10 years, stbxh got ow during my 8th month of being pregnant (1st child). OW/STBXH couldn't stay away so I put STBXH out after 1 year.

I have a court date for July 11. I feel I am not going to be ready. I filed for divorce in sept. 04 not on adultry just to be divorce. We are just now going to court guess I chose a bad lawyer. I have all the paperwork. And notes and calls referring to son. But I still have this lump in my stomach that I wont be ready for court. Or I will get the raw end of the deal.

You are correct to be nervous. We need more info to be able to help though.

1. Did you or your attorney file in Sept.
2. Do you live in a "no-fault" divorce state? (What state do you live in?)
3. Why do you feel you chose a bad lawyer?
4. Are you scheduled to meet with your lawyer between now and July 11 court-date?
5. What paperwork do you have?
6. Have you already paid your attorney in full for their work on this case?

Answer as quickly as you can and we will respond.

Many times a case is considered (by the attorneys) to be a "slam-dunk" and most attorneys are not the best at communicating. It may be that your attorney has talked with stbx's attorney and you have no worries. However, you are clearly worried about it and deserve to know.

You gain strength, courage, and confidence by every experience in which you stop to look fear in the face. Challenges can be stepping stones or stumbling blocks. It’s just a matter of how you look at them. The purpose of life is to live it, to reach out eagerly and without fear for newer and richer experience
