DS is doing reasonably well. Especially now that school is out for the summer!

Thank you for asking.

He still needs to see his child psychologist but he decided only once a month during the summer.

His grades are not as good as they used to be but they are better than they have been for the past year. He made the honor roll this trimester. Before all this crap came down on him he was on it every time.

He gets so angry now about various things. He used to be the sweetest child. Now he is sullen and withdrawn so much of the time. I don’t see it much when it’s just he and I together, though.

Don’t let anyone try to tell you this does not affect the children...

I'm so sorry. Try and ask him how he's doing when he does come, show your care and concern for him.

I'm at a loss of what to do/ say coz he avoids/ ignores me. No eye contact whatsoever.

It seems it's just "easier" for a couple w/o kids to move on and for the WS to leave and get on with the OP.

I think you may be right. I do love my H, but I don't think I would be fighting so hard if we didn't have children and 14 years of history.

I also know that at my age, and with two dependant children, it will be much harder for me to start again. WH, if his A doesn't last - and I hope it doesn't, even if we divorce - will find it much easier as a man to find someone else, it's just a fact. He also doesn't have the kids with him 24/7 as I do, amd probably won't even if we divorce.

He also hasn't suffered betrayal as I have. That's going to take a long time for me to get over.

Alph.

Hey Pep,

They are only making me sleepy at the moment.

I'm intrigued, however...?

Alph.

We have 17 yrs of history. That's not going to be easy for WH to erase even if he chooses OW over me. Right now, he's making himself feel good by re-writing alot of our marriage and history. Most of it, it's a whole lot of BS. He doesn't seem much happier now that he's gone into the A. So whatever his issues BEFORE the A, he still has to deal with them!!

It's just that as part of the justifications, he would think it'll be easier to leave me since we do not have kids. I think somewhere down the line, he'll find it not that easy when consequences and reality catches up with him.

This is what I can't understand. My WH doesn't seem happy either. He's drinking and smoking like there's no tomorrow, putting on weight - if he isn't careful there might not be a tomorrow for him. All of this can't be good for his health.

The kids are the only reason that I see WH. He wouldn't bother at all if it wasn't for them. He was prepared to give them up for the OW, though. I couldn't believe it.

That shows that the A doesn't solve the issues/ problems that they had. It's a temporary fix. But I don't think they actually see it that way.
