Almost a year ago I was pregnant with my second child ( about 7 months along), when I recieved a phone call from the doctors office telling me that I was positive for chlamydia. I was devestated and phoned my husband right away. He of course swore up and down that he did not cheat on me, that he could never do such a thing. He even went as far as to tell me that he called the hospital himself to make sure that there were other ways of getting the std. And for the time being I believed him, but it still haunts me. More and more everyday I think of how hurt I am inside and I how dirty he has made me feel. The funny thing is he probably doesn't even realize that he has made me feel. I am 27 years old and I don't even want to be intimate with him. I only have sex with him to shut him up. I don't know what to do anymore. I don't know how to get past this. And I need to get past this for my children's sake. If anyone can help please I am listening.

Queeniee -

Welcome to marriagebuilders. I'm glad you have found us. You might want to post on general questions, as there is much more traffic there. Also try posting earlier in the day if possible - mornings are good.

But, about your situation now. You need to read up here on all of the information about restoring marriages. Please do not confront him until you do. You will get lots of support here, and folks will show you how to get through this.

It is very common for men to cheat while their wife is pregnant. I know, ugly, but true. It seems to me that he probably had a one night stand, or something along those lines. Otherwise you would have noticed other things that didn't seem right.

As far as him calling the hospital himself to make sure that there were other ways of getting the std - that is pure and simple BS. Also they all lie when found out. So he is very typical there.

So I hope you will stick with us and work through this. The way you are dealing with it now is just going to make you feel worse and worse. But take heart, there are many, many people who have been through much worse betrayals, and now have great marriages.
