Should H be alowed to keep old female friends? But not only friends but ex-fiance? Even if they live in another state???
Im confused about this and a little irritated with my H.
Heres the whole story: He loved this girl, they were sole mates and whatever! Well jump ahead many years. She is married with 5 kids (to my H's ex-bestfriend no less) and living in Utah, we are in Cali. She joins the air force (props to her for that) and she starts emailing my H asking him to keep in touch with her. And just yesterday we recieve a letter she mailed to him. Im a little irritated with her for presumming my husband is going to keep in touch with her. I understand they were good friends and lovers in highschool but I think its time to move on. I comfronted my H about it and he said he would stop talking to her.
What is really bad is. I snooped and read some of the emails they sent back and forth. She is having some problems in her marriage and asked my H to check in on hers (since they were friends). And my husband said to her "Of course I will. Ill always be there for you when you need me" Oh that made me so mad. Do I have the right to let this get under my skin?
I feel like my husband is only giving me half his heart. If he was going to "be there" for someone I feel it should be me. not some ex from his past.
I feel like writing her and yelling at her for her rude behavior toward me. I also feel like email her husband (because I have his email but unlike her never use it) just to get back at her, make her know how it feels. But I thought I would come here and vent my spleen before doing anything to rash.
What should I do? How should I feel? Am I blowing it out of proportion?

Go with your gut feelings, they are usually right. It's better to set boundaries early rather than late.

If upon your request your H does not end contact with his FGF, I would advise you to forward the mails you have discovered to her H and inform him that you are concerned and expect your respective spouses to sever all contact with each other and would welcome his support in this effort on his end.

Anger = drinking a rat poison and waiting/wishing the rat would notice you drink it and the rat die from it.
