I'm north of you a bit, just east of I-55 Hi! It's always interesting to discover I have another neighbor on the board! Do you make pig bacon? Did you know Pep and I attended the SPQ event for the first time this year? It was great! Gosh - it looks really scary on TV. Also MSN wants people to send in pictures. (For those that are there to take pictures - YIKES!!!!) I just emailed Pep and asked her if she ever watched those nuts on The Weather Channel! They are determined to stand out in the hurricane and report the weather, God bless 'em! Susan

We go to the parade every year! Maybe we need to be an entry one year.
Just starting to rain here. I just watched one Weather Channel guy hanging on to a pole telling people to stay off the streets. Hmmm.
We're in for some bad rain for a few days I'm afraid. Those of us west of the center are lucky I think!

Are there any of our MB posters in or near Pensacola? Man, as if they haven't had it hard enough since Ivan. This really sucks.

I am here, just came back from the gym, lots of water lots of wind, lots of trees flying abound, and lots of humbees with national guards patroling around. Had to leave the gym a bit early because the power went out, appart from that everything seems good here in Tallahassee, I hope Pensacola hangs in there.
Someone throw me a map already!

Been thinking about ya. From what I can tell, Tallahassee is on the outskirts of the hurricane and the winds may have slowed a bit. H is still waiting to fly into your town. He still has to report there. L.

From what I saw on TV, the hurricane lessened a bit, and passed over you, and is now just a tropical storm. I do hope that is correct. They said there were no deaths, and you all seemed to weather it just fine.
I guess the power is out in a lot of places. But just wanted to check on everyone.

The hurricane passed west of us, we got a lot of rain and wind from it though. I have been without power from 10 p.m. untill about 20 minutes or so. There is a lot of tree limbs and trees fallen everywhere, it is a mess out there, but I am very happy that we are doing very well, we have our power back, and our water is still running perfectly. The emergency services and utility workers worked really hard through the night to have us all up and running just in time for work.
Orchid, the paper says the airport should resume services this morning, so your husband might be able to get in town flying today.
