Ok, I have not exposed A yet, but am in Plan A. My problem...
WH has tickets to broadway show tonight for military. He said I can come. At first he said he could come get me, but now it is like...take the train in and meet me. He may not even be sitting in the audience because he is doing something for the show. So basically it is...I can go into the City, get a cab and meet him at the show and possibly sit by myself.
I feel sad that he didn't offer to come get me or say do I want to have dinner or whatever...I know stupid thinking.
Anyway...a part of me says I do not want to go. Just not show up...screw it! Another part of me says yes I will go and enjoy myself regardless.
Please give me your opinion...Please!!!!!

You know what? If a gentleman wants to take you out, then he should be required to come PICK YOU UP and escort you out. Asking you to meet him in town and sit by yourself is bs. You shouldn't accept such shabby treatment! Tell him you have more important plans, like painting your toenails.

I'm with Melody on this - I think attending - under his conditions - would be doormat-ish.

Besides, those broadway shows are foolish! And you can't even get popcorn there!!

Hey, I would go and have a good time. It's casual. It's an invitation. It's an indication that your presence is welcome for the show. You can accept or not. For whatever reason, WH can't pick you up.
Small steps. I'd rather be at a broadway show with Phil than home or somewhere else without Phil, or worse, without Phil and Phil is with OW... :-( No way! I'd be at that show looking good, smelling good and already having had something to eat but ready to have a cocktail afterward...
And maybe it's a test to see how interested you are? Maybe it's a test of your independence? Maybe he is just tied up with show stuff if he is doing something for the show...? Who knows....
If there was no A and WH had tickets, wanted you there as his guest, explained that he might not be able to sit with you because he is working on the show but still said to come meet him, wouldn't you? I used to go to the city to meet Phil and vice versa when we were dating. It was when I got OUT of the habit of doing that problems started...

I think I would rather stay home and paint my nails than go to a broadway show alone, especially after such a disrespectful invitation. ["come if you want but you will have to sit alone"] And that is what he is asking her to do. He hasn't indicated he wants to be with her, just that "she can come" if she wants and probably sit alone. That ain't my idea of of a date or that her presence is welcome.
Hopefully, she places a higher value on herself than that. If she doesn't, then he sure won't. Stay home, Lost. Hold out for better.

Did he tell you to eat before you come?

Here was my official invitaion email from yesterday:
****Do you want to come to this Suzanne Somers show? I doubt I will be in the audience as I am working it and then being the person doing the announcing, but you are more than welcomed to come. If you want to wait, we can get tickets for any day later in the week as they said we could and then we and DD18 could go see it and meet Ms Somers after - its up to you, but you are welcomed in ANY CASE!!! We are working on the script now and have to meet at the theater tomorrow at 2 and then do a formal walk through at 6:30 before the 8 pm show.****
Ok, that is what he sent yesterday. Today he sent an email saying to take the train and meet him.
By the way...I like the way you think ML!!

Dear John, I would love to see the show with you, but would rather not go alone. Please let me know when you can join me and I would be happy to attend. Thanks for the invitation.

Hmmm. Melody always knows better than I, but I would go. Also I would take daughter, and to out to dinner somewhere special with her. I would make it a special night regardless of husband's actions. Let me know if you don't want to use those tickets.

Well thanks for asking!
Ok...no stone throwing please...but I did go. I took my DD18 and we went to dinner before and met WH right before the show so he could give us tickets. It was the story of Suzanne Somers life. Very dark story. Did you know she was the OW for 10 years before her lover finally left his wife and kids and married her?? Just a side note!
After the show WH was the MC for a military tribute and got to be on stage. Like he needs anything else to feed his ego!! There were tons of reporters and it was all good, but WH doesn't need to be in the spotlight any more! We went to an after party at a restaurant and WH was around us, but also "working." He did drive us home. DD18 said if he makes us take the train home I am going to kill him!!! I had almost decided not to go when DD18 said, I will go with you and we will bring Dad home.
So all in all a good night. Saw some friends, had a few drinks and tried hard to enjoy myself!
Now.....right now I am gathering my thoughts because I am driving into the city...not something I EVER do...and am going to have a talk with WH about OW. This is a subject we have not discussed and he thinks I don't know. I have no concrete evidence of PA, but assume it is happening and do know OW is who he spends his time with when he is not home. We are scheduled to leave for hockey camp Friday and I need to say some things before we go.
I did not want to talk to him at home yesterday because I wanted it to be a fun day and leave a good taste in his mouth about our family. That did happen. We went to the pool and had lunch out and then watched a movie with DS8 and DS15 and ordered pizza about 10pm!! I see glimpses of my H and have decided today is the day!!
I am scared to death!!! Scared to drive to the city, scared to confront him, scared of what his response might be. But, I feel it must be done!! So PLEASE...prayers, good thoughts...anything you can send my way would be sooooo appreciated!!!
Now...after my conversation with WH I want to confront OW either through email or phone call...which do you think is best? I am such a CA that all this talk is scaring the **** out of me, but I feel like she needs to be confronted. Tell me...phone or email???
Ok, that's my update!!

Lost, why would you confront the OW? I don't see any point in that. I would confront your H and then expose the hell out of the affair. Is the OW married?
Why have you waited all this time to confront your H?

OW is not married. I am not sure why I want to confront OW...I guess so she sees that he has a wife and kids. I don't know...bad idea, huh???
I was gathering evidence. WH has always said there is no OW, but I snooped on his email for a while and found this one person who was always writing. Nothing terriby intimate, but obviously there is something between because she emails him all the time. So now that I know for sure there is OW now I am going to confront him.
Also because I hate confrontations, am not good with words or emotions and have been just plain scared of what he will say. But now I am ready...I think!

Lost, do you think she knows he is married? It might be worth it to contact her if she think she doesn't. In my case, the OW dumped my H THAT DAY when I called her and explained that we were married and not seperated. My H had told her we were seperated. So, that might be a good idea.
Are you certain he is having an affair with her? Can you put a keylogger on his computer and get more evidence?
