Hi all
I found out last week that my wife had a affair with a mutual "friend". I am devestated!! We have had some issues in our marriage and our lifes, a financial problem, the sudden death of her mom by cancer, my 17 y/o daughter(from my first marriage) suddenly coming to live with us, and some female surgery that meant we could not have a child. Through all of this I thought our relationship was holding strong. she did tell me she felt I wasn't "there" for her all the time but since I didn't feel the same way I couldn't understand what she wanted me to do. When I discovered and confronted her she packed her bag and went to stay at her dad's. I begged her to stay and work it out but she insisted WE needed space to sort things out. We have talked and I have but all my feelings out "on the table" for her. She tells me she loves me but is not attracted to me right now. I quess I don't know what to do right now, should I back off, suck it up, and let her have her space or continue to talk to her daily and remind her how much I love her and miss her!!
Thanks for listening

Welcome to marriage builders. It is a good place to be under the circumstances.

Is the other man married? If so, tell his wife.

Other than that, you need to read up on Plan A here, and start there.

Your wife is in "the fog". It's good that you found this resource early on. Read up, pray up, stand up, and be ready to fight for your marriage. It's a long haul from here to restoration. You can do it, hopefully your wife will decide to join you, but that'll probably be awhile from now.

I pray Philippians 4:6-7 for you. I pray that in the midst of this chaos, the peace of Christ will guard your heart and mind as a centurion standing guard over a prince.
