That's nice of you to say, Mimi! I think of a nurturing person as one who says nice, sweet words to people. To me, that is a collosal waste of air! When I see people whining, I don't want to sooth them, I want to SMACK them and say QUIT YER CRYING!!

But Mimi, I don't remember you EVER being whiny! You were very action oriented and strategic. You took in everything we said and went out and acted on it. You were an amazing quick study. You immediately "got it."

Mimi whined with the best of 'em

but

she did not ONLY whine

she worked her butt off even when the dawn looked like it was a long ways away

there's the difference!

Mimi whined?? I don't remember that at all! I remember her taking the ball and running with it. I thought she showed amazing courage and very little self pity in a nightmarish situation. I was very proud of her.

Nurturerer...........Nurturerer....I see no nurturer here. What way did he go so I can get a whack at him with this new 2 X 4 I picked on in an ebay auction.

Ok, Pep...here's a pattern for ya...

WS (Low) come to MB wanting help with withdrawal>

MB responds with some sage advice and warnings about consequences of not heeding>

WS (Low) responds with "You guys are awful and wrong. You suck">

--- WS experiences consequences of not heeding --->

WS return to MB - "Ok, so maybe you were right" >

Gets more MB advice>

WS (Low) responds with "You guys are awful and wrong. You suck">

etc...

Reflective & objective observation is awesome at times.

It's irksome at others.

Why bother????? mmmmmmmmm

I came here for help......aka personal drama... toooo unaware HOW TO reach my goal.

Realised pretty quickly there are two types here those that are stuck & those that have grown beyond the moments.

Made a choice to grow.

Looked for directions. Checked into Recovery, looked up 'success'.

Got 'em.

Lost 'em.

Encountered self induced made drama. Someone labeled for me (thanks). Those beautiful words "Only you control yourself" & "Only you can be a victim by allowing yourself be treated as one".

Was validated here, it was so great to see the words NORMAL. It was a relief.

Looked again. Could sense others rollin their eyes, didn't care in the mo., needed REITERATION, UNINVOLVED OBSERVATION, CLEAR DIRECTION, & A KICK START, AND/OR KICK IN THE [censored].

My faults were pointed out to me quickly.

How to address my WTF came a few weeks later.

Took a looooonnnng while to sink in. Almost had to become mantra like for my numbed sense of injustice to absorb & actually activiate.

I felt at times there were specific people here that I could trust their judgements then realised rather disappointedly that God doesn't really post here

Moved along rapidly once knew what I was really doing for & to myself, & thus affected those around me.

Now I post when I feel I have something to offer be it a learning curve for me or a experience that can help someone be healthier.

What's in it for me? Fame & Fortune

A kind of kinship, where I can discuss, learn & share with others, even vent frustrations comfortably.

So back to patterns.

What's that like huh????

My patterns changing I guess, I used to love demask, now it's glaring girlie pink. I hate paisley, plaids 'cept of course burberry - could I be a chav? eh

What's my real motive - after I've got what I need ie help or insight or resolution to a prob..... If I admit it NO one will ever speak to me again.....aggghhhh.....burn time!!!! yikes I'm supposed to be working or living productively in the real world <hand over mouth in shock, at my own melodramatic admissions>>>> how could i????

Packing my case to get the fk out here, oh chit, my samsonites plain navy, no distinctive patterns at all, gonna have to go for some louis V bags.

Suggs anyone

Why, Susan! Of course, my situation was special.

You should know by now that uniqueness is a common quality to all affairs...
