As part of our legal agreements my WW was permitted a week of time over the summer with the children. Well this past week has been that week. The kids are back tomorrow.
I thought I'd be a wreck this week because I don't think we've ever been apart more than 3 or 4 days in the past. I'm actually doing really well, and haven't missed the kids too much. I kept myself really busy doing stuff around the house, visiting friends, and getting caught up on a lot of loose ends. My kids also phoned me every night (bless their hearts) so that really helped.
WW took the kids to a family reunion this weekend. As far as I know this is the first time since the A that she has visited these relatives (or even talked to them). I can't help but think what she is saying about our marriage and myself at these events.
I still have a good relationship with my (soon to be former) inlaws but I am cautious that they will gradually gravitate and become more sympathetic to WW. Blood ties are pretty thick... I've read on here way too many times about inlaws turning against the BS so I'm trying to be cautious just so I don't get hurt by them as well.
In other news... WW is required to file divorce documents this week. If its like everything else, I'm sure they won't be filed and I'll have to get my lawyer to push to make it happen. But I do feel somewhat at peace (and a bit sad as well) that this is finally coming to a close...

Thank-you Ark <img src="/ubbt/images/graemlins/blush.gif" alt="" />
It was best for the kids... And I feel blessed to be able to be their full time Dad and spend as much time as I do with them.
I know many men are not so lucky.
Cheers,
Miker
