Yup, that’s right. Tomorrow FaithHopeLove04 and I, along with the combined 5 girls are heading to the lake where we’re getting married on Saturday to do all the final preparations. I simply ask that y’all keep us and our families in your thoughts and prayers.
On a little more personal note. WOW…… I’m getting married. HOLY COW, I’m getting married. I was lucky enough to find these boards over 4 years ago, though it was too late for my marriage; it wasn’t too late for me. From the bottom of my heart, I’d like to thank each and every one of you, whether we’ve posted to each other or not. For I’ve truly learned something from each and every one of you, not only that each of you has been instrumental in my recovery as a person. To those few who were here in the beginning and have shared my life story, THANK YOU….
I’ll check back in later today and then again on Monday. FHL04 is not in front of a computer, so if you have a message for her, I’ll be happy to pass it on. God Bless us all.

Again, WOW…. The outpouring of love and support here is amazing, in good times as well as bad times. Those that know me, know that I’m an extremely emotional person. I don’t know how many member’s we’re up to here, but I think it’s safe to say that while the tears of joy are kissing my cheeks this weekend, there will be a tear for each of you in hopes that you capture, recapture, or hold onto the joyous feeling of love anew. After all, isn’t love new every day. It’s not something you can place in a box to save for tomorrow, it is something that has to be used to it’s fullest everyday and then it’s gone……
Just because y’all are like family, I thought I’d share this. Below is a poem that I wrote driving down the highway a while back that is going to be read at our wedding:
Almost Home

Look at her, beautiful green eyes beaming so bright
One would never know of her struggling, searching plight
Gifted from above, she’s a vision with a heart wrapped in gold
Beauty flowing, talent showing, yet so much still left untold
An angel fallen, not carefully created to walk this earth alone
Chapter closing, as she stands here knowing she’s almost home
Look at him, traveler of the broken road so long
Floating on the wings of love, knowing he can’t go wrong
Scars are left to show of the detour he took to get here
Yet softening eyes you see, as he lets out a tear
For gazing into heaven’s eyes, he’s no longer left to roam
Tears streaming, heart dreaming knowing he’s almost home
Look at them, hearts entwined, each seeking out the other
Finally finding a husband, a wife, a father, a mother
Both finding what was lost, but truly never held before
What a blessing given freely to them to hold, grow, and adore
With each breath and beat, they draw nearer to where they belong
Dancing together forever in their “almost home” love song
