Does anyone have a good book suggestion to help my son with divorce? He's 9. I would also like to read something myself. If anyone has read any good book and has a suggestion I wouls greatly appreciate it!

A book I really like is "Dinosaurs Divorce". It's cowritten and illustrated by Marc Brown (Arthur books). It is well written and has a glossary of terms that kids may want to know about too.

I know, it sounds too simple...replacing people with dinosaurs and talking about sticky subjects, but it touches on many of the thoughts and changes that happen with a kid...like:
Splitting up holidays The feeling they are getting pulled two different directions Meeting step-parents Feeling like it is your fault Two households, two sets of rules What custody means How to explain it to your friends etc...
Have you thought about getting the kiddo in to see a counselor? Just someone they can talk to for a few months?
