I love my WS and I’m trying to be understanding but sometimes I get anxiety attacks, chills that run trough me and I start thinking about the A. How do I get past my emotions?

I'm going through the same thing...especially the night that my Wife told me she had not been happy for a long time and didn't know what she wanted anymore. That hit me like a ton of bricks. I had chills, and even vomiting. I would calm down...my mind would wonder, and it would start all over again.

Since that night (last March), my wife had an affair. That didn't exactly help my condition, but the initial shock is the worst part. As we try to deal with all of this, the one thing that makes me feel any better, is to talk. Spill your fears on to this forum. If you have a friend or relative that you can turn to for support...do it!

I have not yet told anybody else, other than my wife's psycologist, but I think I'm getting close to being ready to tell my family and mabe a friend or two.

You have to be able to unload on someone. Also, you could talk to your doctor about a presciption to help. I also have some wine before bed, but that's me.

Good luck!

HLR,

Your not alone on this. I had about a dozen until I learned to control them. It is very difficult and sometimes very taxing.

You must open up to family members that are close to you. My brother helped me through it. He would talk me through them as I was having them. He also had them but not for the same reason.

It s best for both of you to confide this in someone who will understand and be there for you.
As time went on I could identify when one was coming and calm my emotions down enough to stop it. My could get pretty bad where half my body would go numb and shut down.
