To all of you that offered you words of support and lended us your prayers, thank you.

I’d like to say that the wedding went off without a hitch but things happened. On the way to pick some people up from the airport, the limo threw the treads off one tire. Then right before the wedding, FHL04’s little 3yo decided she had enough fun and that actually led to the wedding starting 10 minutes late. Ohhhh and then the microphone didn’t work for the singer, but he recovered nicely. So all in all it went pretty smooth.

Here’s a quick run down. First, all 5, count ‘em 5, girls pulled up in a limo to In My Daughter’s Eyes by Martina McBride, and that was when my tears started. Ohhh them girls all looked like a million bucks. Then FHL04 pulled up on a Rolles-Royce golf cart to Somewhere Over the Rainbow by Martina McBride. More tears….. The scene by the lake was wonderful. We had each prepared a little speech before the vows but once I laid eyes on my bride to be I threw my speech out the window and ad-libbed it. My nephew sang When you say you Love Me by Josh Groban, even without the microphone it was great. Did the whole ring exchange and then presented each of the girls with roses. There were only like 40 people there but I’d be willing to wager that almost all of them at one point or another had a tear to share. It was amazing. We had our dance. I smeared cake in her face. And then it was off to the Bed & Breakfast for the night, and that’s where I’ll end my little run down.

Again, thank you all for your support over the years and especially your prayers of late. We’ll get some photo’s up in the near future to share with our MB family.

God Bless you all……

PS…..Now I really do need the name change……

Hmm. I see you followed that highly sentimental philosophy of wedding planning which calls for full-scale emotional manipulation. I just can't understand why more people don't go for the sane-and-sensible approach of wandering by the courthouse on their lunch break. Much more efficient and saves everyone a lot of time and money.

Congratulations anyway.

Oh and, Bill, the stickler for accuracy within me cannot resist pointing out that your nephew would not have sung "When You Say You Love Me" by Josh Groban. That song was actually written by Mark Hammond (music) and Robin Scoffield (lyrics). (Similarly, "In My Daughter's Eyes" was written by James Slater and "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" was written by Harold Arlen (music) and Edgar Harburg (lyrics) - although I presume that it was Martina McBride's recordings of these songs which were played for the wedding arrivals, which makes the use of the preposition "by" correct.)

Wow, love the photos! Great looking couple/family! Why aren't you guys sequestered away in some honeymoon hacienda, not seeing the light of day? (without the kids, LOL)

Hey---

Congrats to you all...lovely family....

Listen, if it isn't too painful, your (both) stories could be very inspirational to the folks here if you ever could write it down in a succinct form....

If you ever feel up to synopsizing, I am betting there are a lot of eager readers who don't know how all this came about who would appreciate hearing it....

Although for now you should be enjoying each other...we-all can wait...

My best to you both!

E

LOL. . . as if there were any doubts!

I had typed a reply but it didn't show up, so I'm here again. Just wanted to congratulate the lovely couple and tell FHL04 that she made one gorgous bride -- the simple but elegant lines of the dress and her hair showed off her smile so beautifully. You're a knockout, Hon!

the wedding looked small, intimate, and warm -- like you were both surrounded by everyone you love. What a wonderful event for you both, and a happy beginning to a new life together!

best wishes,

slh

(((Avondale))) We did one night at a B&B after the wedding and are taking off Thursday for the mountains of Colorado for our alone time.

(((Peachy))) Awwwwwww Thanks hon.... It was and will be wonderful.

((Elad)) That's a wonderful idea. It is an inspirational story and definately one of hope. I took a long detour on my recovery from marriage and it took me over three years to put the past where it belonged. Some rainy day, we'll have to do that.

(((karona))) Thank you...

(((loversfirst))) Thank you. Blending families will be a challenge with all them girls.

(((SLH))) I couldn't say it better myself. It was as I had dreamed except I couldn't have dreamed her beauty on that day, that was a gift.

(((Faith))) Ohhhhhhh and believe me there are plenty of smoochin pics, those are fun...
