Me and my h have been married for 7 years. Through out the years we have had atleast 2 big fights a year where my h leaves for a few days. He always says this is the last time. There is no turning back and our marriage is over. I love my h very much and can't stand it when he does this. He drinks alot and most of the time these fights start while he is drinking. He is also thinking about driving a truck, which he will be gone for about 3 weeks at a time and home for only 3 days. I really want to work our marriage out and be happy again. Any advice?

Is he open to counciling?
One thing you can do is at least approach him and say we need to work on our marriage and get help for our problems. This sounds like a first step anyway.
Just a thought.

Quite frankly, in the presence of addictions, there is very little you can do to bring about change in your marriage. The addictions just control the other person to the point that they can't fix or do anything.
Until the drinking issue is addressed, very little real progress will be made.
