I used Perfect Keylogger, the free version (blazingtools). It can be detected by programs like adaware though. Do a search on keylogger and you can find the website. Also search on here for it, I think there was a thread on it about 10-12 months ago. Good luck!

If you run a network at home either hardwired or wireless you can access all traffic on the network using "give me too" network sniffer. This program can be run from any computer on the network and can log any computer on the network without detection. The evaluation copy will give you plenty of information.

You can go to radio shack and purchase equipment to record phone calls.
Simplest way to discover an affair is through cell phone records. Not very technical, but it seems to work for most of us.

RH, I just recommended the Perfect Keylogger (Blazing Tools) to a few weeks ago to someone here on GQ...if anyone downloaded the TRIAL version please be aware that it may possibly contain viruses that you don't want! Please scan your computer if you downloaded this.
I found a very pesky Trojan attached to a Browser Helper (yep, the keylogger) by fluke. I run Adaware, Spybot and Avg but Yahoo Antispy is what caught it. God knows who the heck was getting my info but at least my bank accounts are intact! My apologies if anyone downloaded this on my advice. KB

Keyloggers are a basic starting point.
Checking cell and long-distance records is another quite useful step.
A GPS tracker is quite easy to use and can give you a detailed log of where the car was every second of the day. While there are a number of units available, one inexpensive unit is the LAS 3100, which can be had for $250 or less on ebay. Trackers have to be removed and the data downloaded (and the batteries changed) once a week or so. There are more expensive units with monthly subscription which can give you real-time (on the web) tracking info on the location of the car - usually with only one sample every 5 minutes.
