I thought about putting this in my plan B thread, because it is one of the main reasons I am switching to plan B as soon as I can get my ducks in a row. I can choose to stay in this plan A for a while longer, but the kids don't have a choice and something needs to be done.

After WW disappeared for 4 days w/o a trace, I made arrangements for the kids to have somewhere to be during the day until school starts. It is elaborate network of babysitters all in my immediate family (my 4 sisters, mom and dad). It is very taxing on them, but they do it without a single complaint. I love them all so much, and will return the favor someday.

One day last week, WW was going to have to be home all day to wait for the plumber. She asked if the kids could be there with her because she "missed them". I said sure. The night before, she went out with her friend from work (yeah right) and came home at 5AM. I was asleep when she came, so I didn't know how late she was out. I set her alarm and left for work.

At 10:00 I called. She sounded groggy but the kids were up and she had made them breakfast. At 11:00 the plumber showed up. My wife had apparently GONE TO BED!!! Dozing off on the couch while watching a movie with them is one thing, but going to our room and going to bed.... DS3 opened the door and let him in. DD5 went and woke up mommy and told her the plumber was here. She walked to the living room in her underwear and realized that he was in the house. She apologized and talked about how bad she felt about it. But, the very next day, two people came by for a visit. They both told me that they pounded on the door for 5 min. The van was there, and they could hear children, but WW did not answer. I'm sure she was asleep again. My kids will NOT be in that situation again.

On a related note, DD5 is getting very clingy lately. WW is not around very much, and when she is she is not really there. Last night, she wanted to sleep with dad. It happens a lot lately. I was laying there with her and said "You'll always be my girl, right?". It's something we have said to each other for a long time now. Usually she says "Of course". Last night she said "You and OM". OM has a D her age and they had become quite close in the months leading up to the A. I said "You don't have to be OM's girl, just mine." Probably not the right thing to say, but D@mn. Then she asked how come she never gets to see OM's D anymore. I did not know how to respond. I just said "I don't know sweety, let's get some sleep." and left it at that....

I need to move on to plan B before the little I have left in my love bank turns to hatred. I am going to need some help on moving to plan B, but I have already started that on another thread.

She may be doing drugs.

Have your attorney petition for her to get tested for illegal drugs.

Document, document, document all this. You will need it in any future custody hearings.

Get unbiased witnesses if you can.

I don't have an attorney yet. She has always been terrified of drugs. I think I would know if she was using them. I think it is just that she uses a lot of her sleep time to carry on her second life.
