My FWH and I have been doing ok. DDay was July 6, 2004. The affair started in mid April 2004. Every since then it has just been on problem after another. Health issues, children, finance's, his job.
I am on AD's but right now I am feeling very overwhelmed (sp). I am really tired mentally. I feel like I have just given up. I am tired of playing this game called LIFE.
How do you guys deal with it?

I take it one minute at a time at first...a day is TOO long. I found 4 times during each day when I had sinking spells, and I tried to address each one separately. I decided I was really in trouble when I woke up, at noon, at around 5 p.m., and at bedtime. I addressed the morning first. If you have trouble when you wake up, make a change in your routine...maybe that will help. That seems to be working for me. I get up a little earlier, read and pray, then begin the morning routine. I take one of my tough times, one at a time, and try to address it before moving to the next tough time. See if that helps! Change it up.... SAR2

LU, are you getting exercise? How about some quiet time with the Lord? Set aside some time to pray, meditate on His word and make sure you get some exercise.

Hi Lifted Up I am so sorry you are having to deal with all of these issues. Sometimes when we get hit I feel it is God's way of drawing us closer to HIM. Use this time to continue your walk with God.
All during the issues with my spouse I have tried my hardest to focus on what God would have me do and not to focus on my spouse. No matter what my spouse was doing I was working on the kind of wife and person God wanted me to be. I have since seen a change in my spouse and myself that only could come from these difficult times and my walking closer to God.
I am in no way saying this is easy or that it won't be without pain, in those very difficult moments I would cry out to God and let HIM know how I was feeling and that I thought I could not do this anymore. I would ask HIM to hold me and you know in those moments I could feel HIM holding me and a peace that I could never know otherwise. I still have difficult moments but I go to God in those times. I also have picked up several books for me to read to help me get where God would have me be. One of the books is called a Woman after God's Heart and there are a couple others but my brain is dead this morning.
During this time keep looking towards God and ask HIM to show you the way and to help you through all of this. My favorite passage is Isaiah 40:31 But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.
