I highly recommend the new Loretta Lynn collectio "Van Lear Rose" to anybody who likes country music, but the 4th selection, "Family Tree" is the perfect song for anyone who's man has done them wrong. Nobody sings a good "butt-kickin" song like Loretta!!!

Woman, you don’t know me, but you can bet that I know you Everybody in this whole darn town knows you too I brought along our little babies, ‘cause I wanted them to see The woman that’s burnin’ down our family tree
No I didn’t come to fight If he was a better man I might But I wouldn’t dirty my hands on trash like you, no Bring out the babies’ daddy, that’s who they’ve come to see Not the woman that’s burnin’ down our family tree
Their daddy once was a good man, until he ran into trash like you Take a look at the baby’s face and tell me who loves who I brought along his old dog Charlie and the bills that’s overdue The job you’re workin’...Lord, we need money, too
No I didn’t come to fight If he was a better man I might But I wouldn’t dirty my hands on trash like you, no Bring out the babies’ daddy, that’s who they’ve come to see Not the woman that’s burnin’ down our family tree No not the woman that’s burnin’ down our family tree

DW,
It is publicly known that Loretta has had her share of run-ins w/OW. Her H, Doolittle was infamous for having A's. Loretta always grabbed the bull by the horns & her M lasted until he died. Her songs are full of A talk & how she would fight tooth & nail for her M.
I highly admire her for everything she's been through.

Here's a great song for those in recovery...
Making Memories of Us by Keith Urban
I'm gonna be here for you baby I'll be a man of my word Speak the language in a voice that you have never heard I wanna sleep with you forever And I wanna die in your arms In a cabin by a meadow where the wild bees swarm
And I'm gonna love you like nobody loves you And I'll earn your trust making memories of us
I wanna honor your mother I wanna learn from your pa I wanna steal your attention like a bad outlaw I wanna stand out in a crowd for you A man among men I wanna make your world better than it's ever been
And I'm gonna love you like nobody loves you And I'll earn your trust making memories of us
We'll follow the rainbow Wherever the four winds blow And there'll be a new day Comin' your way
I'm gonna be here for you from now on This you know somehow You've been stretched to the limits but it's alright now And I'm gonna make you a promise If there's life after this I'm gonna be there to meet you with a warm, wet kiss
And I'm gonna love you like nobody loves you And I'll earn your trust making memories of us I'm gonna love you like nobody loves you And I'll win your trust making memories of us

I'm still having trouble with this obsession with the OS/OW! Shouldn't we women be writing/singing songs about the WS? I'm more a fan of Alanis Morrisette: "You Oughta Know"
I want you to know, that I'm happy for you I wish nothing but the best for you both An older version of me Is she perverted like me Would she go down on you in a theatre Does she speak eloquently And would she have your baby I'm sure she'd make a really excellent mother
Cause the love that you gave that we made wasn't able To make it enough for you to be open wide, no And every time you speak her name Does she know how you told me you'd hold me Until you died, till you died But you're still alive
And I'm here to remind you Of the mess you left when you went away It's not fair to deny me Of the cross I bear that you gave to me You, you, you oughta know
You seem very well, things look peaceful I'm not quite as well, I thought you should know Did you forget about me Mr. Duplicity I hate to bug you in the middle of dinner It was a slap in the face how quickly I was replaced Are you thinking of me when you ****** her
Cause the love that you gave that we made wasn't able To make it enough for you to be open wide, no And every time you speak her name Does she know how you told me you'd hold me Until you died, til you died But you're still alive
And I'm here to remind you Of the mess you left when you went away It's not fair to deny me Of the cross I bear that you gave to me You, you, you oughta know
Cause the joke that you laid on the bed that was me And I'm not gonna fade As soon as you close your eyes and you know it And every time I scratch my nails down someone else's back I hope you feel it...well can you feel it
And I'm here to remind you Of the mess you left when you went away It's not fair to deny me Of the cross I bear that you gave to me You, you, you oughta know
