A further questions I have regarding WW, she is either in the contact or withdrawal stage of a month long affair. I suspect it is still the contact stage.

I as supposed to leave this monday for a week long business trip. There is no reason that I absolutely have to go. My wife is very insistant that I go, she says 'because you have to work' (not true), 'it will ruin your relation with the company you subcontract too' (again not true, they know what is happening and are supportive).

I suspect she wants space so that she can think, or get relief from the pressure she is under. I also suspect that she is still addicted to the OM and may want further contact even if she knows that relationship has no real future.

Can anybody give me a good reason to go on this trip?? I know I will face the wrath of my wife if I don't go. What should I say in telling her that I am staying.

Thanks in advance

Why would she be wrathful? How would she explain such a reaction?

If you suspect she is still in the affair, or is in withdrawal, it would be a TERRIBLE mistake to leave at this time. It would just give her the freedom to carry on her affair unimpeded. And possibly even bring the OM into your home. I would suggest that you NOT GO.

just tell her you are staying. Sure she'll get mad, but thats her own problem. (its so easy to give the advice, much harder to take it)

pretty confused
