My w/s has now refused to go to counseling anymore. He says that it doesn't help him. We have not seen the counselor since the o/w confirmed that husband is love-sick over her and would call her constantly. I know he is just embarressed over the fact that now he would have to admit he was having an emotional affair along. After our last confrontation over him breaking his promise not to go visit his mom while the o/w was working, he is now hardened. All the progress we had made went up in smoke and the hard, stubborn man is back. He was showing his vulnerability before but now he is incensed that I had the nerve to call him on the carpet about showing up while the other woman was working.
I don't know where this leaves me. He is letting anger steer him now. I don't know if we will be able to put our marriage back together without having a mediator to gently show my husband when he is out of line.
Does anyone have any suggestions?

In the end, I have nothing to lose but everything to gain, by trying to save my marriage.

I am so sorry. I wish I had some advice for you. My H and I tried counseling in the beginning, but he would not admit to the A - told me they were just friends and every session would be a fight. We finally quit going together. My H has now started with a new therapist, only for him and he seems to feel he is helping, but I feel like I am on the outside because I have no idea what is discussed or if I can help.

My H has been very angry for the past year over this - even though it was his doing - it was my fault. Just in the past two months he has been a lot nicer, but the OW did dump him and that could be why.

Sorry I just babbled on - I did and am going to counseling on my own and I feel that has helped me a lot.

Best of luck to you.
