I thought I would post some tips from the book "Fifty Ways to Find a Lover".
1. Carry a conversation piece - a book with a provocative title (they suggest "The Man Who Mistook His Wife for a Hat", or "When Bad Things Happen to Good People". Or it could be a travel brochure for Tibet.
A conversation piece is not a T-shirt that reads "So Many Men, So Little Time", any printed matter about a swinging singles weekend, or a bottle opener worn on a string around your neck.
The point is to have something to talk about instead of the weather.
More tips later.

What a great idea! Men who love dogs have an instant "converstation piece." They take the dog for a walk in the park and the ladies who like dogs come to meet the dog and by extension, his owner. And they already have something in common! I wonder if that's been included in your book.

I didn't see the dog thing, but that is a good one. It can be ANYTHING that people notice, and can talk to you about.
The next thing is to have a business card. It doesn't matter if you don't have one, go out and get some.
There was an example given where Suzie got on the bus, only to discover that she had no change. People were griping and grumbling, when a nice looking man stepped up, and paid the fare for her. They sat together talking, until Suzie's stop came.
She gave him her business card, and asked him to join her for a sandwich sometime to repay the favor.
Anyone can get business cards printed - you can list your hobby, job, or other interest. It is a lot easier than writing your name and number on a napkin.

Number 3 is to make yourself feel desirable. Maybe you think that no one worth desiring would desire you, but that is nonsense.
Everyone has desirable qualities. Each of us has something unique, something that makes us worthwhile people to know and to love. The idea is that if you do something that makes you feel great, you will project that image, and will be in a better frame of mind to meet people.
Answers given from men and women (what makes them feel desirable) were things like wearing perfume or cologne, working out at the gym, buying new clothes, making a great throw from shortstop to first base, wearing sexy lingerie, etc.
