Recently I was unfaithful to my partner of almost 3 years. Which I deeply regret and we are working our way through that and believe that our relationship will be stronger and better than before. In the ensueing conversations I asked if she had ever cheated...her response was no. Further talks lead to her revealing that after her first husbamd left her she had an affair with her sisters husband. She believes this is not cheating for her but only for him. What do you think? If you aren't in a relationship and knowingly have an affair with someone you clearly know is involved with someone else are you cheating? or only the other person? And her telling me was the first time she ever revealed that to anyone and it occurred 25 yrs ago.

I'd tell her to ask her sister if she thinks it's a betrayal...
tell her if she attended the wedding and was intstructed by someone standing on an alter
to her...
'what God has joined let no man turn asunder'
then it's betrayal...
