My WH can't seem to babble enough at me when we're home, so he's decided he should email me at work with the stuff, as well. "Did you call OWH again this morning?" "I can't trust you," blah, blah, blah. Do the same rules for reverse babble apply to email? or should I just ignore them? We had one back and forth that got pretty ridiculous.

Thanks.

It depends on what plan you are in...

if plan a there's no point in powerstruggling...

are he and op in contact...

If a hard hitting plan a what about things like...

Did you call OWH again this morning

you should know dear husband that it breaks my heart that I have had to contact him at all....ever..

I can't trust you,"

you should have great trust in me dear that I believe more than anyone else on this planet in your ability to be an honest man...and hopeful that you value honesty as well...

and that

Just don't let him manipulate you into feeling guilty or avoiding the OWH. He is very worried you will ruin his affair. Please let him know that he "trust" you to stay in constant contact with the OWH until HE rebuilds trust.

You haven't agreed to something foolish, like avoiding the OWH, have you?

WH is still determined to get a divorce. I need to re-energize. I'm getting worn out.

Thanks for staying on me, Melody.

Let's see if I have this straight: you're not allowed to have an opinion on whether or not he has sex with another woman, but he's allowed to get all bent out of shape if you call another man.

Perhaps you can tell him that you will be perfectly happy to agree to an arrangement whereby each of you can veto any contact the other one has with a third party. Call it something like, oh, the Policy of Joint Agreement.

Thanks.

Reverse babble works in person, on the phone, in an e-mail and even just with a look.

Here's my take:

Ws: Did you call OWH again this morning?

Reverse babble response: Should I? You want to me call him?

Ws: I can't trust you

Reverse babble response: You are right, I can't trust you.

In an e-mail form there is less emotion but more time to perfect the RB. Most of us have to practice RB.

Also, you have it in writing. LOL!!!

Orchid is the queen of babble.

I couldn't do it at first. Too emotional. My reverse babble came out too spiteful, studded with disrespe --- not good for Plan A.

It took a considerable amount of emotional detachment before I was able to learn not to take WS babble personally or seriously. Now I can babble back like the whole thing is a joke. It is really baffling for the WS.
