Oh I agree believer , son needs to pay for it and if he has to mow yards then so be it.... But I also think WH should try and help him out if he can so the man does not file charges .... But in helping him out , son needs to pay his dad back .. So he will have to pay either way ..... This man wants 25.00 a week to pay it off... Well with school son may not be able to make 25.00 a week...

he needs to be responsible for sure ......

What exactly happened?

You would think that my son learned his lesson after fixing the hole in the wall, but no. A couple of months later, I asked him to do something, and he went into his room and slammed the door in my face. I knocked on his door, and asked him not to be so disrespectful. He opened the door, and the slammed it in my face again.

While he was out, I removed the door from his room. He lived in a bedroom without a door for over six months. One day he asked if he could have a door again, and I told him it would be no problem, if he could keep from slamming it.

Since that day - 8 years ago, I have never had another problem with him.

Anyhow the man says there 200.00 worth of phone calls.... Now myself I would want proff of it but I don't think WH was smart enough to ask for it ....

Have you talked to your son? I think that was on your list of things to do today. $200. seems steep to me for the amount of time your son had the phone. Ask him about it.

I have talked to him and he says the other boys were in a gang and threated him .....For now I n=have grounded him .. He is not allowed atthe bowling alley for the next 3 weeks... Guess WH gonna have to now use some effort to see his son and not count on son seeking him out .

I am not sure if I believe that or not.... I agree 200.00 is steep.... Thats why I said my dumb WH would not think of asking for proof.... He never took care of amything around here ... Bills or nothing for 24 yrs .. so his dumb butt won't think of asking .....

If it was calls to be made or anything with business I took care of it .....I sure OW is smart enough not to count on him to take care of amything lol

You have a lot of work to do with BOTH of your children. Don't let them use the problems in your marriage to get over on you. That needs to be your first priority.

Then you have the weekend coming up. Please do some fun things with your kids. Forget about your husband.

Believer

You have that right both of these kids are really doing some acting out.... I am just blown away by it. I would have never thought they would react this way....

Of course my first clue should have been when son left his dad a very nasty voice mail , while we were in Virginia when all of this happen....Poor kid was watchin him mom fall apart and really took it hard.

I am talked to the kids about going to cousneling and see if that might help them ... Son says he is not going to talk to a stranger about this.... I am going to keep trying to convinve them though to go ....

My kids were abandoned by their father at an early age. My oldest was 5, and his brother was 2. My oldest always refused to talk to a "stranger" about his feelings. That is fairly normal.

I am sorry to hear that believer, but it sounds like you did an awesome job with them....

I do wish I could get him to open up to someone.... I am going to talk to my BIL and see if he can talk to him. They have a good relationship. He has kinda been standing in for WH right now with son....

it just hurts me that his father can't see how he is hurting and won't try to talk to him and help him.... Forget how I feel and what he is doing to me but he needs to get a little bit of sense going on for his son....

The things my kids dad did to them were devastating. My oldest was the most hurt. My youngest was kind of protected.

But they have both grown up to be good men.

Thas something to be very proud of believer..... Even in the turmoil of iur lives we can raise happy and healthy children with a some patience and lots of love.....

I just have to help mine work through this and get them back on the right path... For they are straying at this time , due to the pain and betrayal they are feeling....

I am beginning to think they are suffering more than me ... At least I can stop myself from doing the wrong things, they for some reason do the wrong things to cry for help and attention.....
