I have been married just over 2 months and am beginning to wonder where my feelings have gone.

In the beginning of our relationship, my husband was my best friend, we laughed, had fun and loved being in each others company. On top of that I had never felt love before like I had when I was around him. It was intoxicating.

The sad thing is, he hasn't changed, he is more wonderfull now than he has ever been, he is the most kind and considerate husband anyone could wish to have. I am still very physically attracted to him but something has gone.

Sometimes I find I have nothing to say to him, or I get angry with him for no reason, and then I start to panic.

I have realised that the issue doesn't lie with him, it lies with me, but why have things changed?

We have lived together for 3 yrs, so I know it's not the adjustment period that newlyweds usually go through.

It hurts me that I feel this way about him, and that he can sense it and thinks that he has done something wrong.

Help.

Sounds totally normal. Love changes, ripens, sours, rots, then grows again. Sorry, but it does.

You are likely accessing some issues from your past, some things that your wonderful relationship is helping you heal. Let it do that. It might be a bit bumpy, but it sounds like you really have a wonderful relationship.

I've read that "anger is a map." What is your anger showing you? Is it lack of self acceptance? Is it lack of love? Is jealousy?

Also, there may be very legitimate reasons for your feelings. Can you access/find/pray about those reasons? Can you bring them up, talk about them, and heal?

One last note, the intoxicating love thing is a bit dizzying. Love can age, like a fine wine, can get very tasty, rich, and lush. Love doesn't have to be fizzy and young and giggly.

Enjoy!
