OPO, what a nightmare, I hope you feeling better today, I'm sorry I didn't get back with you sooner.

What is your D Attorney doing about this? Has he still not received paper work from your H. How long does it take? It really needs to be sped up. Did you call your D attorney and tell him that your H tricked you into seeing him, saying he needed you to sign something and brought nothing for you to sign!! What a Creep!!!!!!!!!

Really, would moving away help me?
.

I don't know.

OPO, if you want you can still go to the police dept. and talk to an investigator there. They are not PI's to hire, they are county paid investigators.

I know you just want out of it quickly, and I hope it happens soon, you don't need all of that agony. I wish I could help you more. I know you are feeling so trapped.

Dear Lady,

I was so blue yesterday. The lawyer name he gave me is NOT working w/ him. So H is still not filing a D. I've emailed a few others late last night and I guess I'll just add the cost to my CC. H is going to sink my credit for sure.

Does anyone know if I'd have a shot at proving grounds of adultery, since they co-habitated and he kept the joint accounts w/ her? H never admitted to sex but come on, it does seem likely they stayed married in EVERY way.

What would I need as proof? How would I get proof?

Would love any ideas to work with. Thanks
OPO

Hi there,

Oh, I misunderstood, I thought you were filing for divorce.

I don't know, but if you cannot prove adultery, mental cruelty is definitely grounds for divorce. You do have proof of health ins fraud.
You do have proof that she was on the house deed, and you had to remove her during your marriage to him. What do you think?

I'm wondering, do you think he would forge your name on ANYTHING?

Nothing is beyond this guy. And as for health ins fraud, THAT'S what sent me thru the roof. I cannot get anyone there to respond to me.

It was H that said "someone" turned them in and he's w/out ins now. But NOW I'm thinking they got away with it. Maybe they claimed to divorce for "tax reasons" and H got drunk & married a crazy person (me) and I am not stable. Who knows???

Again, H is very gifted in the art of cover-up. But if they would just give me a copy of the investigation, I'd know if he's passing himself off as her domestic partner. Can I subpeona a bid ins company?

Well, hopefully they are still investigating him?

Hold on OPO, something has to break soon. May the Lord break the ties that are trying to bind, and loose you from the trap he has laid for you.

Hi Lady,

You are so sweet to care.

I'm sorry for the abrupt absence, didn't mean to cause worry. I was hit w/ a spell of depression. I set out to take control and GET rid of the parasite but I end up exhausted fighting the dead ends- lack of finances- and job fears.

I tried hiring an attorney again for the past couple of days. They all say- pay BIG $$$$ upfront for retainer--- NO guarantee to get the private documents I need, even in discovery. But there IS a guaranteed price tag.

I can't even hint of the suspected criminal activity - just to protect myself - because the reaction is "HERE'S ANOTHER NUT JOB SEEKING REVENGE".

I called H last night and begged & cried for him to PLEASE just give me a D, I want no money, it can be no fault, just please end this legal tie. H refuses-

Lately I'm just waiting to get fired, lose my perfect credit, and go under. Then I just disappear and start over. I can not win this one.

Wow OPO, I don't know why he is doing that to you. What is his motive to keep you both married like that. Is it a "control thing" or what??? Is he benefiting some how to be married to you??? I hope he doesn't forge your name on anything. Well I guess the best thing to do is wait till you are a widow, being his heart is in such bad shape, that may not be long from now. Is that mean to say??? I don't know, but he is not giving you anyway out, and I don't like that!

Does he have to agree for a D, for one to be granted in your state?

Hoping you feel better.

Dear LadyS-

I live in GA. An uncontested (no fault-no property-no kids) divorce is the cheapest at $ 500. but H must agree to sign it. This is how I'm trapped.

I've started divorce actions only for H to threaten me until I drop out, or I simply run out of $$ to pay atty fees.

Retainers for a contested D are outrageous. Especially if I ask about doing motions for proof of the joint accounts. Or is H's divorce a forgery as the EX claims? Once I talk of these bizarre circumstances I lose all credibilty.

Why stay "married" to me? I have no idea. My theories are:

1. H sees me as a trophy- and "proof" of his worth.

2. H needs the image of M to feel valid.

3. H doesn't believe me that I'm never going to forgive this betrayal. H says his recent baptism is a sign that he has changed and God wants us together.

4. Because he CAN.

As for the heart attacks etc, how do I know they were REAL? H could live to be 105!

I can't afford phone & internet soon so I won't be here long.

Many thanks to you and managing2 for the advice and for caring. You are such a good person, LadyS, and I wish you the very best.

Over and Out- OPO

Have you tried hiring a private investigater?
I know they can be expensive, but it may be cheaper than a lawyer for the time being.
There is no one, family, etc, retiremnet fund, that you can access for help?
It sounds like not only do you have grounds for divorce, but you have a strong case for fraud against YOU. I would bust his chops.

You are not following my advice. Forget the attny for now, bring in the IRS. Contact his employer, the bank, etc.

You are not a nut case. You need to protect yourself from criminal and civil prosecution. Explain this to all of these parties.

Turn the heat up on the guy and he will not contest the divorce. Did you check the State records for the dissolution of his previous marriage? I suspect Bigomy as well. You can get this info for free.

Focus on what you can do, not what you can't. Snap out of it and start fighting.
