My WH seemed a little distant this weekend. I was already a little parinoid because one of the teachers he works with made a comment that rubbed me wrong on Friday. She is divorced and relies on him a lot since he is the only male teacher in the Jr High. I decided to check his email at work while he was at football practice. I didn't see anything within the last few days from this teacher or OW, but I didn't have much time to look. I did discovered that he has no clue how to clean out his email. He has emails in the "sent" file going back to 2002 and over 2,500 emails in the deleted file. I also saw emails from two teachers that he has not worked with in a few years. I once told him I had suspected him of having an A with one of these women and he had laughed at me. My curiosity is killing me. Is there a quick and easy way to forward or copy these emails, rather than forwarding each one, so that I can take my time looking through them on my computer? We both have Microsoft Outlook Express (different networks). I am afraid that he will delete everything if he catches me looking at them. Also, I don't want to set things back if he really is being honest and this is just me being parinoid. He has had problems with lying in the past and I just need to verify things for my own peace of mind.

fbwidow, I don't have Outlook Express but I have Outlook, and I believe they work much the same. When I attach emails, even if it's multiple emails, I just open a new one, then go to either the Deleted or Sent Items or wherever the email is located, and highlight the ones I want to attach using the Control key. Then, I simply drag them all to the new email that I've got open. They all attach to the new email, so you can open them one-by-one when you send.

***Be careful when attaching though, some ISPs have size limits and if you send an email that's too big (too many attachments) it could get hung up in the Outbox for a long time and sometimes it's hard to get out, and he could see it there.***

Hope this makes sense.

You might also use the advanced search tool to search through his emails for key words...the names of the ladies you have a concern about, the words love, sex...you get the picture.

That should let you review much fewer emails.

And...now that I think about it...if he's using Outlook, I believe that all of the files are saved to a .pst file.

Do a search on his computer for .pst files...and look for one that has his login name or something similar...should be a pretty big file if he's got as many as you're saying. Copy that file to a CD or whatever, and then put it into the same folder you got it from on YOUR computer...and see if that works.

If he has windows 2000 or a version of XP the easiest way isto purchase a "jump drive" that plugs into a USB port. That way you just highlight the e-mails you want to save and click file save...and you save it to the jump drive..

Or if you want them all you get yourself a portable hard drive that plugs into the USB port and copy all of his personal files....

These steps can take time...and you need to be certain that you properly add / remove the hardware (jump or portable drive)....
