Ok, advise me here. I am so tempted to call LTC and find out what is going on. It has been like 2 or more weeks since I left that message with him, the follow up to just follow up with him. Would it be kosher, or not, to call and ask him why h didn't go to combat training and do they know the time frame they may be talking with him? I don't want him to think I am just going to lie down and go away, that I am a very squeaky wheel that needs oil! Or should I just patiently wait, which you can see, is not my strong point.....! H goes to weekend guards the 1st weekend in october..... That is his first time back to the base since august... do you think they will tell him then, in person, why he did not go and have the talk with him then? I know you don't know anything for sure as you are not there. It would just be a guess on your part. But h is driving me crazy and darnit I want him talked to soon! ok, deep breath... am really trying to learn some patience here, I promise! mlhb

Hey, I understand. Patience isnt my virtue either.

If drill is the 1st weekend in October, then they will most likely talk to him then. That will be the first time they have him there and can do this face-to-face. So, my bet is he will do it then.

He isnt going to shove it under the rug because there is an IG looking over his shoulder.

But, you can still call and see what's up and ask those questions. It will send that message that you are on top of this and expect that your husband get treated as he deserves. Dont be difficult...just ask questions and make sure the LTC understands everything.

I think you will be alright. If nothing is done by the end of drill...or if they dont do the right thing...then I will help you draft a letter to the IG stating that you believe that the case was not handled correctly and give the reasons why.

So, hang tough another week. My bet is they will be dealing with that boy next weekend.

In His arms.

thanks mortor, I will call today and leave him a message as my schedule to be by a phone usually doesn't jive with the LTC's, he is only in until 3 I believe. I will just state I am continuing to follow up and was curious why h wasn't taken to training like the rest of the men. should I mention that our kids are in counseling now because of the sitch or just leave it short and to the point, that I am following up and would assume that since he has drill weekend after next that they would be talking to him then? I just wonder why I didn't get a response to the last message I left? I would think they would call and say we got your message and are still working on it... but I guess the military is quite busy. Do you think a message is ok??? mlhb

Yes, send the short version. And then wait until after drill to see what happens.
