I honestly don't know where to put this; I'm not even sure if anyone has an idea that could help me, or if there just aren't enough hours in a day.
My husband and I have always enjoyed exercising together as one of our activities -- going for runs, bicycling, etc. The problem is, this year I started at a new job that pays well, but that requires longer hours from me. In summer, it's a small problem -- I can creep away from work a little earlier and we can fit in a run perhaps one evening a week, then on the weekends, we run and ride bikes together.
I'm worried about winter, as the days get shorter and colder. There is a gym in our apartment complex, but the equipment is old and there isn't enough of it. Furthermore, I like the treadmill and hate the stationary bike. My husband loves the nordic track thing and hates the treadmill because it's hard on his knees. Wouldn't you just know it, the apartment complex moved all the treadmills together UPSTAIRS in the gym, and the bicycle is next to the nordic thing DOWNSTAIRS...sigh...
I think our best option is to still try to run outdoors until it gets icy, but I worry about being able to get home early enough, without sacrificing my responsibilities at work.
Anyone else find a successful solution?

You might find some advice on the Emotional Needs board. This relates to the emotional needs of Recreational Companionship and Attractive Spouse. I suggest you repost there.

Thank you.

I was starting to feel like nobody else had this problem!
