I just wanted to thankyou for recommending the book streams in the desert. I just ordered it tonight on amazon.com and the previews were all excellent! I am sure that it will bring me peace and heal the disdain I have for men. I look forward to finding who the man that God has for me is.
God Bless you!

Oh, I so hope you love it like we do!

When my formerly non-alien husband went wayward, and I was completely lost and hurting, and just praying for courage each day, a good friend of mine bought me that book as a gift - brought it over special to my house (1/2 hour away) with her son, on a Saturday, hand-delivered it with a pretty ribbon. It helped me so much - I still love it, and H&I read it together often! It's just a great book that I think really answers some of the ancient human questions, why must we suffer? why does God allow us to suffer if He loves us? How can we survive the suffering? What is faith?
I look forward to you finding the man God has in mind for you, too - it will happen and you will be blessed for doing things God's way.

If I am still around when I get it I will let you know. I am about to be mobilized to go to afghanistan. I read some of the pages on amazon and although I could not get deep into it because it is a devotional I still want to keep that. I love to read I have many books on relationships and just about anything you can imagine you must get the book called The hit List it is in alphabetical order and it tells you the root and fruit of most issues of life it is incredible.
As far as men I need to get over the anger towards them right now I am 37 and not one single man in my life that should have mattered has ever given me a reason to trust them. I am too independent and I need to stop it. God is beating the dust out of me that psalms 139 is dangerous.

Afghanistan, wow. Take care there, dreamer.
I hope you enjoy Streams, and I will have to check out the Hit List...!

Take off the old coat, and put on the new!

Ephesians 4:21-24
Since you have heard all about him, and have learned the truth that is in Jesus, throw off your old evil nature and your former way of life, which is rotten through and through, full of lust and deception. Instead there must be a spiritual renewal of your thoughts and attitudes. You must display a new nature because you are new person, created in God's likeness - righteous, holy, and true.

Dreamer, you remember that God has a better plan for you!!!

Thanks for the scripture. I am better although I have my pit moments. I was so angry at God that I cannot express it but to know him is to always return and I don't ever want to be away from him again. He is really good. I will be around until late oct if God will not say different. If you have any other books let me know and I will say the same to you. God Bless you! Do you see how a question such as are you a Psychic can cause kindred spirits to meet?

Dreamer1 - you've solved what some would call life's great mystery!!

Go to gospelcom.net and check out Psalm 84

[color:"brown"] Better is one day in your house, better is one day in your courts. Better is one day in your house, than thousands elsewhere! [/color]

Yes Yes Yes!!

Hi NotTooLost:
I got the book yesterday. If I had money I would send you a huge chunk of it because you opened my eyes to a treasure in this book. I stayed on the phone last night reading it to my friend and just crying. Feb 1, may27 &28 have spoken to me thus far. My friend said that she wants the book also and now the list begins. I also ordered a CD called the quiet by Phil Driscoll. I saw this man playing not blowing but playing the shofar(hope I spelt it right)like you would play a trumpet. The rest is all instrumental with the trumpet. Try it! God bless you. Don't forget to get the book the demon hit list that is also a great book

I'm so glad you love it - tomorrow I'll go thru Feb 1 and May 27 & 28 to read them. I had dinner tonight with my friend that gave it to me and I told her how highly I recommend it to others, and again what it meant to me that she gave it to me. I will check out the hit list - who's the author/compiler?
I'll have to check out the CD too, I'm quite a music buff, always open to something different.

It's called Demon hit list by John Eckhardt. If you go to amazon.com you can get a peek inside its a thesaurus that tells you names of demons that cause all kinds of trouble in our every day lives.
The CD is magnificent all I need now is some frankincense and myrrh to complete the wonderful presence in my home. And tell your friend I said Thank you. My copy of the book is an older version. His wife wrote this one but the newer versions I think were rewritten by someone else. The cover which is a dustcover is cream with 70,s style drawing on the front it was really ratty but the inside is great and its hardcover too.

That's cool, I have the new version. My H said the older version is very good, a little more complex language.
Gotta get to work - but have a great day and I'm going to check out the book.

One more question about the book and then I will drop it. My book is the 9th printing from June 1979 and yes the language is more complex. Can you tell me what printing is your book and when? I was made at the shape of my book cover.(ordered from amazon.com) but I think I got a real jewel here.

Mine is updated by Zondervan books, by James Reimann in 1997. It says it is updated with contemporary wording and NIV Bible translations. I think they are probably both jewels - enjoy!!!
