*Doing a jig*
Step 2 is where, having admitted your life is not controllable, you admit that maybe, just maybe, God (as you understand him) might be able to fix what you can't.

Man, am I slow these days!
It didn't occur to me to apply that logic, or even that I was "Step One-ing" in that way. I was just using the term "Step One" loosely.
I did know what Step Two was...thanks for reminding me.
I certainly hope this means I'm not going to have to do the much feared "Step Four"!

You know what really did it for me? It was the Detachment With Love thread.
It helped me to see that I was either completely attached, or detaching WITHOUT love.
Also the word ATTACHMENT gave me this mental image of a huge, squishy octopus with big, fat slimy tentacles with the biggest suction cups wrapped around and squeezing the life out of Patriot.
I DO NOT want to be a big, fat, slimy, squishy, tentacles waving everywhere, squeezing the life out of anybody OCTOPUS!
Mental images can be such a killer. I have a very vivid imagination.

I was exactly like that also.

Spiritual Awakening is a wonderful thing...I'd like to thank BR for her repost earlier this week...between her post and my Therapist explaining "you can't make sense out of insanity" What is the definition of insanity, doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results...well I think I have finally found the light. My therapist really knocked the light into me last week. Learned more about myself in one session than I have in the two months I have been going.
If you love something, set it free.
If it comes back its yours.
If it doesn't, it never was.
You can't make sense of insanity...definition of insanity, doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.

I DO NOT want to be a big, fat, slimy, squishy, tentacles waving everywhere, squeezing the life out of anybody OCTOPUS! Reminds me of a Beatles song .... but most things do Froz .... I could just squeeze you myself!

Froz .... I could just squeeze you myself! Okay, but only do so at your own risk! I still have my tentacles, I'm just choosing not to use them at this time. They are VERY BIG and VERY SLIMY and SUCTION-Y
