Here's the thing We started out friends It was cool, but it was all pretend Yeah, yeah, since you been gone Dedicated, you took the time Wasn't long till I called you mine Yeah, yeah, since you been gone And all you'd ever hear me say Is how I picture me with you That's all you'd ever hear me say
But since you been gone I can breathe for the first time I'm so movin' on, yeah yeah Thanks to you, now I get what I want Since you been gone
How can I put it, you put me on I even fell for that stupid love song Yeah, yeah, since you been gone How come I'd never hear you say I just wanna be with you Guess you never felt that way
But since you been gone I can breathe for the first time I'm so movin' on, yeah, yeah Thanks to you, now I get, I get what I want Since you been gone
You had your chance, you blew it Out of sight, out of mind Shut your mouth, I just can't take it Again and again and again and again
Since you been gone (since you been gone) I can breathe for the first time I'm so movin' on, yeah yeah Thanks to you (thanks to you) Now I get, I get what I want I can breathe for the first time I'm so movin' on, yeah yeah Thanks to you (thanks to you) Now I get (I get) You should know (you should know) that I get I get what I want
Since you been gone Since you been gone Since you been gone
Learning from your own mistakes creates experience, learning from books creates knowledge, combining the two together creates wisdom => You start with a full bag of luck, and an empty bag of experience. The trick is to fill the bag of experience before you empty the bag of luck.

You are so right. Never knew I liked Kelly Clarkson.
Also I'm new to the divorce board so I thought I would say Hi. Been mainly wasting time in the Infidelity/General section. I'll probably be wasting time here from now on. lol.

I heard this one for the first time the other day, and I love it! It's a country song - George Strait, called "She Let Herself Go."
He wondered how she'd take it when he said goodbye. Thought she might do some cryin': lose some sleep at night. But he had no idea, when he hit the road, That without him in her life, she'd let herself go.
Let herself go on a singles cruise, To Vegas once, then to Honolulu. Let herself go to New York City: A week at the Spa; came back knocked-out pretty. When he said he didn't love her no more, She let herself go.
She poured her heart an' soul into their three-bedroom ranch. Spent her days raisin' babies, ironin' his pants. Came home one day from the grocery store and found his note, And without him there to stop her, she let herself go.
Let herself go on her first blind-date: Had the time of her life with some friends at the lake. Let herself go, buy a brand new car, Drove down to the beach he always said was too far. Sand sure felt good between her toes:
She let herself go on a singles cruise, To Vegas once, then to Honolulu. Let herself go to New York City: A week at the Spa; came back knocked-out pretty. When he said he didn't love her no more, She let herself go.
To Vegas once: Honolulu, New York City. Came back knocked-out pretty.

Don't! Shania Twain Don't.... don't you wish we tried? Do you feel what I feel inside? You know our love's stronger than pride, ooh No don't, let your anger grow Just tell me what you need me to know Please talk to me, don't close the door
Hmm, 'cause I wanna hear you, I wanna be near you....
Don't fight, don't argue Give me the chance, to say that I'm sorry Just let me love you Don't turn me away, don't tell me to go
Don't.... don't give up on trust Don't give up on me, on us If we could just hold on long enough
Hmm, we can do it, we'll get through it....
Don't fight, don't argue Just give me the chance, to say that I'm sorry Just let me love you Don't turn me away, don't tell me to go
Don't pretend that it's ok Things won't get better that way Don't do something you might regret someday.... Don't!
(instrumental)
Don't give up on me Hmm, Don't! (we can do it) We'll get through it
Don't fight, don't argue Just give me the chance, to say that I'm sorry Just let me love you Don't turn me away, don't tell me to go
Don't! (don't fight don't argue) Don't give up on me (give me the chance to say that I'm sorry) Say that that I'm sorry (just let me love you) Don't give up on me (don't turn me away) Don't tell me to go....
Don't! (don't fight don't argue) Don't give up on me (give me the chance to say that I'm sorry) Say that that I'm sorry (just let me love you) Don't give up on me (don't turn me away) Don't tell me to go....

Like we never loved at all Faith Hill and Tim McGraw
You never looked so good As you did last night Underneath those city lights There walking with your friend Laughing at the moon I swear you looked right through me But i'm still living with your goodbye And you're just going on with your life
[chorus] How can you just walk on by Without one tear in your eye Don't you have the slightest feelings left for me Maybe that's just your way Of dealing with the pain Forgetting everything between our rise and fall Like we never loved at all
You, i hear you're doing fine Seems like you're doing well As far as i can tell Time is leaving us behind Another week has passed And still i haven't laughed yet So tell me what your secret is To letting go like you did, like you did
[chorus]
Did you forget the magic Did you forget the passion Did you ever miss me Ever long to kiss me
[chorus]
You, you never looked so good

I always loved that Bonnie Rait song "It's too late now."
I don't know the lyrics, but it's along the lines of the first two songs.
Funny the progression of theme song you go through. I started with the kind Green Eyes put down. I was still married when I stopped caring so much that he wouldn't make changes for me. That to him I wasn't worth the effort.
Then, I separated. The joyous songs about the good things that can happen when someone moves out of your life and makes room for healthy things to come in.
Actually, you know what I really sing? No kidding.
"Praise God from whom all blessings flow. Praise Him all creatures here below. Praise Him above the heav'nly host. Praise Father, Son and Holy Ghost."
It's nice and short and I've been singing it since I was nine, so I don't have a problem remembering the words most days.

That old photograph of us sure looks out of place Laying on your bag out in the hall. You're takin' it to remind you of our better days... The one's you say you'll miss when you're gone.
Don't lie...don't try to fool me... Cause girl I know what's goin' on. Don't lie...you owe it to me... Believe me leave well enough alone. So just go ahead and say goodbye... But don't lie.
Well I've seen all his letters in the closet I've caught a trace of his cologne on you at night. So don't stand there and act so broken hearted... Tell me how its killin' you inside.
Don't lie...don't try to fool me... Cause girl I know what's goin' on. Don't lie...you owe it to me... Believe me leave well enough alone. So just go ahead and say goodbye... But don't lie.
Just come out and say it... Don't worry I can take it... Don't you think that I deserve the truth?
Don't lie...don't try to fool me... Cause girl I know what's goin' on. Don't lie...you owe it to me... Believe me leave well enough alone. So just go ahead and say goodbye... But don't lie.
